Thank you! :)

Yep!  Preston has traded on Coinbase before in the past as well.  We just size up the chart and the "setup" like we would for any other stock out there.  Great question!

Does Kyle ever trade options on companies like Coinbase?
Martin
2:59
for example, just like option prices are costantly shifting, does the apr also constantly shift?  Or what other scenario can occur that would put principal at risk?
Mentor Mike
2:57
I'll have him speak to this.  Thanks!
Martin

please ask kyle what is the risk of defi pools?
Mentor Mike

So welcome!

thank you Mike for the response
Mentor Mike

Yep it talks more about the basics of crypto and investing in that world and sets you up to keep learning from there!

Very interesting. Does Kyle's course cover this more in detail? I've never heard these concepts before.

Yes we will post the slides and her trade journal with the replay of the event in the TEAM Hub!
Arie

The trade journal that Stella referenced, is that available for download anywhere on the website? or is it best to email her?
Mentor Mike
12:13
Usually by Monday... they are pretty large video files to render and upload, but they will jump on it!  (hotel internet speeds are always a wild card too that adds to the fun)

Mike. When will these video replay be available? Thanks. N
Mentor Mike
12:02
Nope!  You just want it to be "covered".  So either you own 100 shares for each call contract you sell OR you can own 1 call contract for each 1 you sell

Mike, I have never sold calls.  Is there protection for those as well.
Mentor Mike
12:02
JPM just announced.  So earnings are behind us now that is why he jumped in.  Hope that clears it up!!
rvogler127
12:01
Yet Preston took the JPM trade 1 day before earnings?
Mentor Mike
12:00
Usually we want at least a few weeks of potential put selling before the earnings report... so yes, I personally like at least 3 or 4 weeks of selling puts before earnings
rvogler127

Mike, I have always believed that never take a $press within 16 days of an earnings an

the journals are AWESOME!  Do it!
Mentor Mike

You give it a few days to let the dust settle, then you want to see the stock trade back above the HIGH of the GAP DOWN day.  That is our entry point.
Scott
11:58
Mike, how long do you normally wait before entering a MP on a sunrise?
Mentor Mike
10:36
You can, and it makes a bearish trade, but we typically don't do that.  The market usually falls sharply when it falls and a bear call Money Press wouldn't really profit on sharp/larger drops.  But a slower march lower would be great if you did try the bear call Money Press.
nalini_uhrig@yahoo.com
10:35
Do you do Money Press type trades using calls rather than puts?
Mentor Mike
10:24
Glad you are learning and can hit the ground running once you get the account funded and open for business!
Brandon
10:24
I'm still a Money Press Virgin (MPV) unfortunately.  Hopefully my account will be funded soon and I can get out of this status.
Mentor Mike
10:09
So the biggest concern I see is the earnings date is about 30 days out. It's recommended to wait until after earnings.
Bob Walker

How about SE for a Money Press.  8/15 Surprise Factor gap down.  Yesterday cleared the high of the gap down day.
Pete

LMAO I did an IC and a spread....craxy premiums

In that CRWD example, we were looking at the 180 Call out in December or January with the stock trading near 187.50

What is the strike price on this for the bullkicker and time?
Mentor Mike
9:44
Usually we would just look at buying the call at the same expiration as the long put for your Money Press... so around 3-4 months out.
Erik S
9:44
if you bought a kicker, what expiration date would you look for in comparison to money press that is going
Mentor Mike
9:44
So that would just depend. Most of the time when you do a "Money Press With a Kicker" you are looking a bit out in time (a few months). Then for the weekly call if you sold a call against your long call, that expiration is normally just a week at a time to collect the premium for the week. If you did close out the long call and take a profit, you wouldn't sell a weekly call as at that point you would be trying to sell a weekly call "naked".
