Do we need to purchase the textbooks before class starts?
AvatarHannah Parten

Hi Dingding. No, you don't need to buy your textbooks before class starts. You can buy them at the Yale bookstore or order them online when you arrive to Yale. Your professor will tell you what books you need.

I have some questions. I saw on the website that the check-in office is only available from 1 p.m-4 p.m, so I wonder if we could stay in the residential college first or we need to check-in first and then go to our room after that? Thanks for response.
Meg Palladino
9:04
Hi Zhiting!  Housing check in is 11:00 - 5:00.  That is where you will get your room key.  If you arrive after 5:00 pm, there will be a phone number posted for you to call.

I have applied for the first session, however due to some visa problems I am unable to come earlier. I was wondering if I could change my attendance / differ it to session B?

Dear Sir or Madam: Thank you for your attention! I want to ask that if I arrive at the dorm later than 17:00, will I be able to check in? If not, can I check in by phone? Thanks again!
AvatarHannah Parten
9:05
Hi Jessie. Yes, it is possible to check in after 5pm, but we prefer students check in between 11am-5pm. If that is not possible for you, you will need to come to Morse College. You will see the phone number of the residential life office posted on the gate. Call this number and a member of the residential life staff will come to meet you and check you in.

Will the architecture program be enough information and education to apply for an internship with a architectural firm after the program?
Michael Fitzpatrick
9:06
Hi Kelly, Could you let me know a little bit more about what program you have applied to? Yale Summer Session isn't offering architecture courses this year.

I am looking forward to this summer, my course begins on July 1. I am living on campus, I want to know when I can move in? And, where are we checking in?
AvatarHannah Parten

Housing check in for Session B is Sunday, June 30 from 11am-5pm on the Morse Crescent. You will receive more information about housing check-in closer to your session start date.

Hello good day. Can I only apply if I have a passport?
Meg Palladino
9:06
Barbara - if you are outside the US, you will need a passport to come to the US.  You will also need a student visa.  It is too late to apply if you are an international student.
