Ciao
Let's talk some ball

Thoughts on the Realmuto trade?
Smith Brickner
1:07
Sanchez a 60 FV for me. For me, only Whitley and Luzardo are ahead of him amongst pitchers in minors.
1:09
It's nice they see more in Alfaro. Hey, if he cuts his strikeout rate by 5%, it's still an improvement. If he reduces the K rate, he can be an above-average catcher for me.
1:10
Stewart is interesting, but I think it's pretty clear that contrary to what Miami says, he was *not* they're second best pitching prospect. Medina and Romero are decidedly better, from what I hear from multiple people I've talked to
1:11
But for 2 years of Realmuto? Overall that package ain't bad.

What price range do you think a team could land Gio Gonzalez for?
Smith Brickner
1:12
Serviceable when he's on the mound. When. WHEN. He stays on the mound and you're looking at a respectable 3/4 type. Give the man $7.5 million and call it a day.
Martin

What do the Dodgers do with their catcher situation now?
Smith Brickner
1:16
To me, the Dodgers' unwillingness to get a deal done for Realmuto indicates their belief in Ruiz and Smith. Not this year, but next year. Hence that explains why they wanted someone like Martin, who's a 1-year stopgap.
1:17
Still, I'm a little surprised they're following through with Martin as their starting option... big time downgrade from Grandal

How are you doing?

Mom? Dad? Is that you?
Bryan

do you prefer bryce or machado
Smith Brickner
1:19
Do I want a Lamborghini or Bentley? Uhhhhhhh
1:20
Most the projection systems I track seem to think Bryce will age better than Machado. So when in doubt, I go with the projections.

Any update on carter stewart?
Smith Brickner
1:22
Yeah his first start with his college team was a mixed bag. 1st inning was really bad, but showed improved command and displayed that angelic curveball. Boy is that thing a beauty.
1:23
Scouts from multiple teams say he could be the first pitcher taken this year. And honestly, I think everyone in baseball is rooting for that to happen.

Are you going to the Cape at all during the summer?
Smith Brickner
1:25
Yeah I may go up once or twice. I have a few buddies who'll be interning up there, nice to see them and to see some of those 2020 guys
Brittany

Of the ballparks you haven't visited, which one are you looking forward to visiting the most?
Smith Brickner

AT&- I mean Oracle Park
1:27
That transition of calling it AT&T might take a while

Why isn’t Encarnacion getting more interest?
Smith Brickner
1:28
Seems most AL teams are complacent with where they're at. Injuries change things, obviously.
1:29
I never thought Tampa was a realistic possibility unless Seattle ate a huge portion of his salary. But hey, it could happen. We've all seen stranger things, haven't we?
Michael

Have you seen Royce Lewis live? Can he stick at shortstop?
Smith Brickner
1:30
Have not seen him live, but almost all public outlets seem to think he can stick. Not all that common when they all agree on something, so that leads me to believe he's a legit shortstop.

which recent international signee has elevated his stock considerably?
Smith Brickner
1:32
A name I keep hearing is George Valera. Silk smooth swing, awesome debut. He's gotta stay on the field for his stock to continue rising, though

Who in your opinion is the most underrated signee right now
Smith Brickner
1:34
Alex Wilson just signed a minor league deal. That's shocking to me. So that's one
1:35
Michael Brantley got way less than what I thought he did. Houston's lineup is sick
Joe
