Close to my bedtime now. I'm working again so I got to get some rest.
Frank Novak
Thanks guys! See you back at the ranch
10:52
Me as well. It is getting close to bedtime here in the east
Strakman
10:52
Take care '62, good posting with you.
Since '62
10:51
Evenings, lol
Frank Novak
10:51
That’s what my beliefs are on that
Since '62
10:51
Alright guys, going to scoot. Thanks, good earnings to you both.
Frank Novak
10:51
At very least, they knew and deliberately did nothing about it
Strakman
10:51
Of course, '62, I believe MLB leadership brought the peds issue on itself in order to recover from the disastrous '93 lockout/strike.
Since '62
10:50
True Frank.
Frank Novak
10:50
Bonds seems to do better taking a couple guys under his wing than being in charge of the tutelage for 13 guys
Since '62
10:50
Yes, it's a blemish.
Strakman
10:49
Bonds could be a good teacher of hitting. I still am agnostic on his HOF chances due to what I believe was his obvious peds use.
Frank Novak
10:49
He puts a lot into his craft, he always has. I was around him in his rookie season in San Jose (2007) and he’s come a long long way
10:48
Ritzo for me is getting better by the series
Since '62
10:48
I read that Pederson contacted Slater off season and invited him to join him in batting sessions with Bonds. It appears it helped.
Frank Novak
10:48
It’s just really raw. Today you could hear it was several seconds behind.
Strakman
10:48
I was thinking of a person at first not the position.
10:47
Oh, dummy, play by play
Frank Novak
10:47
Play-by-play
Strakman
10:47
PBP???
Frank Novak
10:47
Slater, yes, forgot about him. I think he’s a high IQ guy and not one to rock any boats. I bet in private he wants to play more. But I also imagine he gets it.
Strakman
10:47
Slater looks to be having a great time right now '62.
Since '62
10:47
Spot on Frank.
Frank Novak
10:46
I like FP Santangelo’s insight, he’s fine for me as a color guy but the PBP is not good. He tries, I appreciate that. But I’d be as good as him if not better.
Strakman
10:46
I loved the way Kap managed the Rockies series. The final two games were like textbook in how you take advantage of a weaker team at the right time. Of course, a manager's moves are dependent on the players coming through.
Since '62
10:46
Slater was here under Bochy and it appears he's bought in.
Frank Novak
10:45
Or a guy who was here under Bochy like Crawford or Webb. They’re really the only ones now. Rogers but it was for like 6 weeks.
Since '62
10:45
Santangelo said it well today.....you get the feeling this team is never out of any game.
Frank Novak
If Kapler is gonna have a problem connecting with guys, it’d be guys who are either wily vets and think he’s their equal
10:44
Kapler makes some weird decisions sometimes, but I think most of the players like him enough. And the young guys probably respect him because he played a long time.
Since '62
10:43
Totally agree with you Strakman.
Strakman
10:43
One poster on the main site told me this evening that he thinks Kap lacks courage. I told him the Giants are busting their butts right now to win games. In my athletic and work experience, players and works not gonna be to willing to bust their buts for a leader who lacks courage, intelligence and respect for those he supervises.
Frank Novak
Teng and Jensen both belong in AAA
10:41
I’m not saying I wouldn’t replace them
Since '62
10:41
Kapler has his quirks, but I think that can be said of any managers or head coaches.
Strakman
10:40
All the farm teams need enough players.
Frank Novak
Drew Strotman, Daniel Tillo, and Phoenix Sanders. Gone.
10:40
All are pitchers really
10:39
Sacramento still has a few guys who I’d release right now if you’d let me
