OK had some technical difficulties but let’s get started.
Puckman
12:14
Are we deluding ourselves thinking the Pens are really close with a couple of lineup changes or are we just still in the Crosby/Malkin haze of what was?
Zeise
12:15
Yes. I believe it is over for the Penguins. I really do. At least this group. I think that there is a time for every team and this team has had an incredible run. But there are a lot of teams with superstars that are 8-10 years younger than the Penguins

When does Claypool take over for Washington's snaps? He is easily a difference maker and a mismatch - for all of Washington's impact (low) isn't it worth getting Claypool snaps and letting him do his thing as he learns?
Zeise
12:17
It is coming isn’t it. Man he is looking to me like the steal of the draft. He is young and only played two games though so let’s not put him in the Hall of Fame yet. He looks like a star though
Buccos
12:17
In the spirit of 'even a broken clock is right twice a day', what year where fate accidentally make the Pirates relevant again or are they determined to do all they can to break their previous record for consecutive years' losing streak?
Zeise
12:20
I cannot imagine it will take them 18 more years to figure out how to win 82 or more games. That being said it is gonna be a few years. This organization needs rebuilt from the top to the bottom. They have good baseball people in place to do it but when push comes to shove do they have the owner willing to give them the resources necessary to do it
Oneil
12:20
Has the Oneil just destroyed his life tragically?
Zeise
12:21
The thing is it is in a different country and we are seemingly getting bits and pieces and nobody seems to know the entire story and that’s important to note. I would withhold judgement until all the facts are known but at this point it certainly doesn’t look good
Shelton
12:22
What do you make of Shelton as manager and has he shown enough to believe he can develop into a good big league manager
Zeise
12:23
I’m not a fan of all the lineup shuffling and changing and he seems to be another guy obsessed with giving guys days off. I think he is a smart baseball man, though, and he is more well liked in the clubhouse than the last manager so I think he has a chance to do some really good things. The players like playing for him and once he gets some better pieces I think he will be in good shape to win games. He knows what he is doing

Paul, I backdoored myself into a T6 at The Foot, but ultimately I disappointed my avid supporters. Hope you did not lose the house. So you sticking with me for Augusta in November?
Zeise
12:25
Nope. Even though he has played poorly this year, I’m going with the defending Masters champ at Augusta this year! I need To see one more Tiger major title before he retires!

paul, why does pinkett still come over towards the sidelines to get a play?  i really think thats poor preparation !!!!!! it just drives me crazy when it happens, just hope pitt can over come their mistakes and win saturday !!!
Zeise
12:25
I guess it is to make sure he gets the right play! I think he has played well so far, though!

First off, I love Geno’s nickname for me.  Secondly, do you think the brass will keep trying to unload my contract? It’s not my fault JR overpaid. He makes a habit of that.
Zeise
12:27
I do. It isn’t just your contract, though. It is also that you are getting old and starting to break down and quite frankly just aren’t that good any more. He will keep trying to move you and hope some GM thinks he is getting a five-year younger version of you.

Hello Paul, there seems to be a lot of discussion about Ben's career statistics lately.  Do you think that the Steelers will play him even when games are decided just to build up his career stats?  I'm concerned that his back ups won't get any game time to get them ready if Ben blows out his arm later in the season.
Zeise
12:31
Those that followed me during my days covering Pitt will get a kick out of this: “Need to get Mason work, get Mason some work, gotta get Mason work....” OK I have to amuse myself some days to keep from crying. To your point, Tomlin is a conservative coach when the Steelers have the lead so no matter who is playing he would be handing it off
Jm
12:31
Why is Riddle getting playing time ? Friend of Sheltons ?
Zeise
12:31
The Pirates have a team loaded with guys you could ask this question about.....
Bert
12:31
How deep do you think the Pirates will go into the playoffs this year?
Zeise
12:32
As deep as they did in 2014 and 2015......
Ghostly
12:32
Do Pitt Panthers and Steelers sweep this weekend or get swept?
Zeise
12:32
They should sweep but I think
12:33
this will be the weekend one of them loses a game that causes a meltdown among their fans
Ghostly
12:33
Should Pirates unabashedly tank these next 4?
Zeise
12:34
Yes the Pirates should try to get the No. 1 overall pick. That being said I don’t think they need to try to lose these next four games, they are more than capable of doing so
Perry Mason
12:34
Do you understand what happened when the court struck down Wolf's stay at home order? How comprehensive was that decision and does it affect Pa. sports? If so, why would there be a need for a special law removing restrictions on spectators at high school sports, on bars selling alcohol without food, etc? Could the Steelers and Pitt now have spectators at their games?
Zeise
12:37
I think the fact that schools like NA and Butler have basically said “we will do what we want and allow as many people as we want” That tells me that it is  officially the Wild Wild West unless the governor wins his appeal. I don’t know why anyone, stores, bars, restaurants, stadiums, etc is still abiding by any rules. And if I was the Rooney’s or I ran Pitt there would be 20,000 fans at each of the games at Heinz Field this weekend

12:37
Hey Paul. So how are you looking at Coach Capel's 3rd season going? Is he gonna get that turned around or what?
Zeise
12:38
I think this is a year they will take a big step forward. I predict they will finish in the top 8 of the ACC. The league is a little down in the middle and bottom part and Pitt is gonna be much improved
Devin
12:38
Would I have been drafted so high if people knew I was not all that great in coverage? Now that it’s on tape, I expect more exploitation. Is this a skill I can improve upon?
Zeise
12:39
I don’t think anyone is surprised you aren’t good in coverage yet because that was the knock on you coming out of college. You need to improve and in a hurry
Jeff Z. South Side
12:39
Hey Paul. Can the Steelers D Keep Deshaun in Check. Or do you see the Texans pulling a upset??
Zeise
12:40
The Texans stink. Their offensive line is bad. Their defense is bad. They are missing a big play receiver. If the Steelers lose to that mess of a team they are not close to the team we think they are

Now with Cruz pretty much ruining his career along with several families lives. It seems the Bucs are cursed. Especially with that owner
Zeise
12:41
Again, let’s let all the facts come out before we decide who is cursed and what happens to Cruz

Paul, what's your assessment of play by Steelers' young defenders? I had high expectations for both Bush and Minkah. They've been solid, but so far not difference makers. What's your take?
Zeise
12:43
Fitzpatrick in year 2 with the Steelers isn’t going to sneak up on anyone. Teams account for him now but he is still playing well. I worry about Bush. He is young and can get better but he needs to take a huge step forward to come close to living up to where he was drafted.
