Hi Paul, just a feeling, but barring injury Kenny Pickett is going to have a monster year. Your thoughts?
Zeise
12:11
I would agree. I think it is such an advantage for a quarterback to have played in the offense with the same coordinator multiple years

Good day Paul. Has there ever been a legitimate effort within Pittsburgh to bring an NBA team to the city? Being 50, will I ever see a Pittsburgh NBA franchise?
Zeise
12:12
Yes, we actually had an ABA team. I would say there have been no less than ten attempts to bring professional basketball to Pittsburgh

What do you think the percentage likelihood of a play stoppage happening for MLB next year and if it happens how long do you think it could last? And what do you see as the most contentious issues and how will they eventually be resolved?
Zeise
12:13
I expect there to be a work stoppage and it would be one  of the dumbest decisions ever. Baseball is losing fans and people are increasingly turned off by some of the stuff. A work stoppage would really push a lot of casual fans away

Do you see Pitt winning 10 games this year
Zeise
12:14
I have them at 9 regular season wins and a 10th in the bowl game

Hello Paul.  If Tuitt is not available to play the opening game, will he still count on the roster or can the Steelers carry another player until Tuitt returns?   My thoughts and prayers are with the Tuitt family.  Thank you Paul.
Zeise
12:17
I think he would be inactive but would be part of the 53-man roster. It sounds like they are expecting him to play

I don't think Mason Rudolph is or will be a starting QB in the NFL.  However, I think much of the angst about him is where he was drafted. If he had been a fifth or sixth round pick, I think the perception about him would be much different. The fact that he was a third round pick and at the time the team did not need a QB is a factor in how people view him. The Ravens drafted two very good players after him in Orlando Brown and Marc Andrews either of whom would have been better picks.
Zeise
12:18
When he was drafted people were excited and thought he was a steal. It isn’t about where he was drafted it is that he has been at times underwhelming

What are you thoughts on the Jags?  We have seen big time successful college coaches come into the NFL only to find it difficult (Sabin, Spurrier).  Can Urban be successful?   I know they lost their RB for the year with and injury, and expecting Trevor to be a winner as a rookie is hard for any QB.
Zeise
12:19
I said at the time he got hired that Urban Meyer was destined to be a disaster of a hire. I don’t see this lasting more than two years. That team is going to a you know what show until he is gone

Hi Paul, your choices for the practice squad or is too early for a prediction until after tomorrow’s game?  Thank you.
Zeise
12:20
Yeah I have to see who is cut. I think a guy like Mark Gilbert, if he doesn’t make the team, will be on the practice squad

Do you own any Steelers/Pens/Pirates jerseys?  And if so, which numbers and why did you pick those numbers?
Zeise
12:20
I do not. I’m not a Jersey kind of guy

12:21
Any chance Steelers can trade Rudolph for a 3rd round pick?
Zeise
12:24
What team in their right mind is going to give a third round pick for Mason Rudolph? No way, unless a general manager wants to get fired

I didn’t see it and tried to quickly Google it and couldn’t find it. What did he say?

Why turn questions about one position into two?  Leave Sutton in the slot where he seems more comfortable and effective and either start Pierre outside or, if not ready/capable, go sign a veteran for the season?  I worry the staff is putting too much on Sutton's plate as a first year starter.
Zeise
12:27
They think Sutton is their second best corner and so they are going to try and use him to matchup with the other team depending on who is the outside receiver and who is the slot. It is just the way they view him - as extremely versatile and capable of handling both duties
Bernard
12:27
Concerns re getting pressure on QB as Watt still doing his hold out/non hold out and Tuitt is away from camp?
Zeise
12:27
No both guys will be back when the lights come on for real games
Darnell
12:27
Hey Paul, do you have a dark horse or two to make the Steelers.  I’ve been hearing Sexton may beat out Ray-Ray.  Thanks.
Zeise
12:28
I think it could be Mark Gilbert
Bernard
12:28
I'll see your Pitt all time offense with OSU all time defense that would include guys like Chase Young, Joey Bosa, Cam Heyward, Will Smith, Malcolm Jenkins, Jack Tatum, Shawn Springs, Chris Spielman, Randy Gradishar.   Would be awesome!
Mercury
12:29
Why would anyone trade even a 7th round pick for a player another team was about to cut? Why not just wait until he is cut and sign him?
Zeise
12:29
Yes Ohio State has amassed some real talent in the last 15 years
12:30
To make sure they get him before he becomes a free agent. If he gets cut he can negotiate with multiple teams. So if a team really wants him
they make a trade so they don’t have to bid for his services

17 game NFL season.  Which NFL single season record will be the first to fall and will it be this season?

I know people are saying this could be a year Pitt hits double digit wins, but realistically what do you think Pitts record will be? Or should be?
