60 constituencies are up for grabs in Tripura and Nagaland, with 59 constituencies in Meghalaya.

In Tripura, the BJP is expected to return to power for the second straight term. Here, the saffron party is contesting in alliance with the Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT) of Prem Kumar Reang. BJP is contesting on 55 seats while the rest is with the IPFT. As per exit polls, BJP is expected to win 29 to 40 seats while the Congress-Left is projected to win 6 to 11 seats and TMP may bag 9 to 17 seats.

As per the exit polls, in Meghalaya, Conrad Sangma's NPP is expected to emerge as the leading party in the state with seat projections ranging from 18 to 26. BJP and Congress are expected to win 6 to 12 seats. India Today-Axis My India predicts that 18-24 seats for NPP, 5-9 for Trinamool Congress, 4-8 for the BJP, 6-12 for Congress, and 8-12 for United Democratic Party (Meghalaya) led by Metbah Lyngdoh.

In Nagaland, the election poll predicts a similarly high number for NDPP( Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party) along with BJP.

Currently, in Nagaland, the National Democratic Progressive Party have fast gained a lead in 10 seats.

In Meghalaya NPP is leading with 15 seats with UDP trailing behind with 7. As of now  the status of 41 constituencies are known.

As per the early trends, Tipra Motha's first assembly debut looks impressive as the party is leading in Charilam's ( ST) seat in Tripura. Deputy CM is in second position. Tipra Motha is also leading in Teliamura seat.

In Tripura the BJP is in the lead with 18 constituencies with the TMP trailing with 12.

As per the trends, the BJP is leading in Tripura with 18 seats while Congress is struggling with only 5 seats. TMP holds the second position with 12 seats.

The BJP seems to be retaining its position in the Northeastern region, which it has gained since Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the party to power at the centre in 2014. The early trends show that the party is ahead of the combined Opposition in Tripura, its alliance is leading in Nagaland and gaining more seats in Meghalaya, a state in which the Conrad Sangma led the National People's Party (NPP) is looking to remain in power.

Nagaland latest trends as per EC: NDPP is leading in 17 seats with the BJP trailing behind with 7 seats. Republican Party of India (Athawale) has only 2 seats. National People's Party has only 1, and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram V) has 3 seats. The Nationalist Congress Party continues to struggle with just 4 seats.

With all 60 constituencies having been counted the BJP maintains a strong lead with 28 seats. The CPM leading in 13 constituencies and the TMP in 12 trail behind the saffron party.

In Meghalaya the NPP continues to lead with 24 seats, the party having been declared the winner in the constituency of Nartiang, in which the NPP's Sniawbhalang Dhar defeated INC's Emlang Laloo.

NPP candidate Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh is leading in East Shillong by a margin of just 3 votes in Meghalaya. INC candidate Manuel Badwar is trailing.

In Meghalaya NPP candidate M Ampareeb Lyngdoh is leading by a slim margin of 3 votes against Congress's Manuel Badwar in East Shillong seat according to the Hindustan Times. Lyngdoh had won the seat as a Congress candidate in 2018 and later switched to NPP.
CPM leads in Belonia(West) in Tripura.
