Whoops!
1:04
I got distracted preanswering some questions
Anywell...
Hello, friends.
Let's baseball!
The Brice is Right
1:04
Hiya! Need a Middle Infielder in an al only obp league. You like any of these guys? : Brice Matthews, Angel Martinez, Ben Williamson, Oswaldo Peraza?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:05
Ehh, not really. Williamson, if you forced me. I know it’s AL-only, so all these guys might already be rostered, but looking at guys who are around 1% on Yahoo, I’d rather have Rocchio, Julien, Schneider, or Gonzalez.
Testing the depth of OF
1:05
Need an OF in al obp league. Do you like any of these guys? Loperfido, Austin Hays, Kayfus, Pereira, Isbel?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:05
Hays, by a lot.
Pecorino Romano
1:05
I have Romano in al only obp and thinking about a trade. My weak spots are Austin Hays and Brice Matthews. Should I move Romano for someone like Denzel Clarke or Bryan Rocchio or just hold?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:05
I’m holding Romano, but if you're going to move him, I’d shoot for a lot higher than Rocchio/Clarke
I sing of arms and troubles
1:06
Hi! Could you rank these arms: Boyd, McCullers, Cecconi, Cantillo, Kay? Thank you Mr. G!
Nicklaus Gaut
1:06
Boyd >>> Cecconi > Cantillo > Kay > McCullers
And you’re welcome!
Outlook for Tibbs ?
1:06
Everyone is bullish on the Dodgers Tibbs. But to me he looks completely blocked and promoting him would make him Dalton Rushing 2.0z. Thoughts?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:06
I mean, he’s not just regular blocked - he’s super-blocked. Tucker, Teoscar in the corners, Ohtani for DH. Barring an injury, his most likely path for Dodger at-bats is as a lefty off the bench, with spot starts sprinkled in.
1:07
The dodgers have shown they don’t mind this situation. But we can’t ignore that this is a classic blocked-Dodger-hitter-gets-traded situation. Let’s just assume he get moved to fill whatever hole they happen to have at the time. And the juggernaut rolls on.

My league does a two round minor league draft once the season starts (to clarify who is actually in the minors) and I'm trying to identify potential prospects that may make an appearance sooner than later. Or is there someone deeper with the skill sets that might pop. I'm looking at C Lagrange (NYY) as someone with ridiculous skills but maybe no opportunity. Thanks!
Nicklaus Gaut
1:09
Perhaps no opportunity in the rotation, but he could certainly pitch himself into the bullpen sooner, rather than later. The Yankees already love this path for starting prospects, but factoring in Lagrange’s ridiculous velo, makes it seem an even more likely one. I say it’s a nice bet
1:10
seriously that dude has gas
Tempted in Tampa
1:10
Do either of the old arms in Tampa--Matz and Martinez--do anything for you?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:10
They'll both have their uses as streamers, but never good enough to actually keep on your roster, outside of really deep leagues
Gwynning
1:14
Having trouble with my final roster spot... seems to be rotating faster than a Matt Festa slider.  Give me a low-key pitcher off the way-bottom of every League's Free Agent list that I can hitch my wagon to! Truth be told, it might even be Festa if he's due back in the first half...?

Foster Griffin in the NL
Jacob Latz in the AL
Beano
1:15
Hi Nick! I am keen on Colorado hitter (duh!) and I covet TJ Rumsfield. Would you rather Rumsfield or M Ozuna (all things being equal) in an NL 10 team 5x5 league?  Or - if that question is to fantasy league specific - what are your thoughts on Rumfield for this year?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:15
Rumsfield isn't awful, but don't get swayed by the thin air, too much. It's Ozuna by a lot, for me.
Sparky
1:16
I had to make a quick decision and pulled the trigger on Griffin, in favor of McGonigle. Will I regret it?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:16
NO
And I'm a McGonigle fan
but Griffin looks ridiculous, particularly from a fanasy pov
I hate to buy the hype on rookies too much (baseball is hard!)
1:17
but that speed will make up for a lot
Drop it like its hot
1:19
When Strider is activated in a few days, who would you drop to open a roster spot for him: Lowder, Messick, Lugo, McCullers, Garrett Mitchell, Justin Crawford, or Nick Gonzalez? 10 team, H2H 5x5 with OBP and QS instead of Avg and Wins.
Kind of a follow up: Crawford or Benge ROS? My CF's are Crawford and Mitchell, but Benge is an FA. Buxton is on waivers, too, but I'm near the bottom of the waiver order so I doubt I'll get him
Nicklaus Gaut
1:19
McCullers
1:20
Crawford
Drop it like its hot
1:22
Sorry, one more question: is Didier Fuentes worth a speculative add in a few days? My SP are Skubal, Sale, Fried, McClanahan, Bradish, Lugo, Soroka, McCullers, Messick, and Lowder, with Strider, Cole, Steele, and Ponce on I
Nicklaus Gaut
1:22
I'd rather have him over Lowder

Are all rookies taking steroids this year?
