Hi Brent, could use some help in my H2H Points League. Two questions:

1) In a league that gives extra points for QS, would you rather have Gausman or Pivetta?

2) We allow five keepers. I am keeping Jazz, Machado, and Lindor and then on fence about keeping Bregman too. I’d be locking up my U spot before the draft, which I don’t love doing. Is that a reasonable concern? My other options for the last two spots are the pitchers I asked about above, Altuve, or Cade Smith. Thanks for any thoughts.
Brent Hershey

1) Gausman, b/c I trust the rest of his stats (non-QS) more
2) I'd prob lean Cade Smith and Gausman, OR the two SP. With those options, agree that Bregman at UT as a keeper not optimal.

Brent who do you like more   morakama or okamato for power and average? and are you a kelenic believer? Thank you
Brent Hershey
12:08
Okamota as an overall play. I've sworn off Kelenic until he shows me something at MLB. Burned too often there, lol

Hi! Brent - 12-tm, H2H, cat., w OBP replacing BA, 9 hitters incld. DH, 6 bench slots, daily moves, auction draft … Need to fill all my OFF slots except DH (have $62 2-way Ohtani) and 3rd ($3 Muncy). Only have $$ for one $30+ hitter. Rank Tucker, Carrol, Tatis, Gunnar for 5-cat anchor (not incld. JRam because of Muncy)? Thanks!
Brent Hershey
12:09
Carroll, Gunnar, Tatis, Tucker -- but man they are all close

AL only, standard rotis with keepers. I've been offered W. Abreu $12, and Victor Robles $12 for Andres Munoz, $27. I still have Cade Smith, $4, and Bednar, $7. Worried that I'm not getting enough value considering their injury history. I have decent hitting going into the auction. What do you think?
Thanks!
Brent Hershey
12:12
Not sure I'd keep Robles at 12, but question of value depends on other options for Munoz. If throwing him back, I'd take the deal for Abreu. But I'd shop him hard other places first.

Oops--hit return/send by accident. That 9X9 keeper list for ranking should be:

Adell $1
M. Vargas $1
C. Rafaella $2
Torkelson $3
Jeremy Peña $4
Taylor Ward $9
Kwan $18
Bregman $31

THANK YOU!

Do you see C Cowser playing full time?
Brent Hershey
12:16
Yes, pretty close to it. We have him around ~550 PA; part of that is b/c BAL doesn't have another great CF option.
Peter
12:18
J Chisolm claims he is going 50/50 this year. Do you see this as realistic? He was written up today as a "gamble".
Brent Hershey
12:18
Not realistic. Possible, but a—what—90th percentile outcome? Not building my draft plan around those #s for him.

12 team NL only, 5x5, $260. I got a good keeper list but my last two spots I'm torn between 4 guys. C Rushing $3, P Mlodzinski $1, 2B/3B Schmitt $3, P Clay Holmes $6. And your choices would you say are tough or "no these two by a mile! lol. Thank you!
Brent Hershey
12:21
Mlodzinski for sure; Holmes out by a mile. Slight Rushing over Schmitt for me (hoping for a Rushing trade), but could see it the other way.

What in-season trade will shock the world?
Brent Hershey
12:22
Skubal to the Dodgers, who sign him to an extension and (again) ruin baseball (sarcasm font)

4x4 AL only keeper league, have Parker Meadows at a reasonable price, what are your thoughts on him?
Brent Hershey
12:24
Skeptical he hits the ceiling we expected a year or so ago. Don't mind keeping him in an AL only if he's $1, but I'm throwing back if he's much more. Should be cheap in the auction to re-acquire.

KRUNCH time for keepers.. 4x4 auction. last keeper is between Lile $10, Abel $5, Warren $5, and McClanahan $10. Question is who will produce best value. Maybe none of them? Observations: Lile is struggling, Nats might  just make him  4th OF. Abel  is different in a good way, but might be still sent down. McClanahan, who knows. Warren, tempting at $5 but think he is whip killer. Best one to speculate on?
Brent Hershey
12:25
If you're speculating, Abel or Warren

12 team redraft league does Betts outperform Perdomo?
Brent Hershey
12:27
Yes, barely. Could make the younger player argument, tho.

Hi Brent, 10 team NL-only keeper league with plenty of inflation.  Trying to decide on 2 out of these 3: $16 Hoerner, $11 Beck, $8 Frelick.  Is it a tossup or do you see a clear throwout. Thx
Brent Hershey
12:31
Beck would be my cut, even with power/speed combo. Other two are just better hitters.

In a 6x6 mixed H2H keep 5 forever league how soon is too soon to draft Konnor Griffin?  I am only keeping 3 so I have 1st shot at those not kept and am toying with taking him with one of those picks.
Brent Hershey
12:32
Go for it.

Spend $120 on a group of stars listed below for a stars + scrubs build in a 12 team h2h categories league;   - Elly $42 - Jazz $31 - Jrod $44 - Acuna $42 - Gunnar $38 - Langford $23 - Chourio $32 - Kurtz $33 - Vlad Jr $34 - T Turner $27 - Soto $50 - J Merrill $22 - Rooker $25 - Caminero $31 - C Carroll $32
Brent Hershey
12:38
Fun question that I just spent too much on, ha!

Think I'd try to squeeze 4 guys in there, though I'd want to do the math with projections. But one of the 40s guys (JRod/Acuna/Elly would be my pref) along with Turner, Merrill and Rooker.

NL only, dynasty, 12-teams. Position scarcity often comes into play. Have the opportunity to deal Gabriel Moreno ($1.00 with skills trending for a breakout) for either Sheehan ($1.50) or Uribe ($1.00). All three players in second year of conracts and extendable. Which pitcher is the better acquisition?
Brent Hershey
12:39
In dynasty ... probably Uribe.
