Hello friends
10:59
We're about to get started
Lazaro Montes' Real Estate Agent
11:00
At this point, should Lazaro Montes consider buying a home in Modesto? What are the Mariners waiting on to promote Montes?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:00
At this point, he should at least have one key to the city
And probably the deed to the California League
11:01
I suspect the Mariners plan was to wait on a promotion until the MLB draft-ish but at some point he's gotta force their hand earlier, right?
11:02
Videogame numbers this year, just like the videogame numbers from last year
Soto or Acuna?
11:02
If both are healthy, who do you want on your fantasy team - Soto or Acuna?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:02
In a health vacuum, it's Acuna for me
11:03
It'll just be hard for Soto to outhit him enough to make up for what will likely be a 40 SB gap
Question Mark
11:03
I have an open space to fill.  Which order would you put these players?  Noelvi Marte, Randy Arozarena or Heliot Ramos?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:03
Arozarena > Marte > Ramos
11:04
Randy's .219 BABIP can't continue forever, right?
RIGHT???
My guy Randy struggling so much is truly bad for my mental health
11:05
I don't even have him on a ton of teams - I just want him to be happy

H2H daily points league with k penalty for hitters. We are starting 2 SP and 2 RP every day. Got offered Burnes+Correa+Edwin Diaz vs my Fedde+Verdugo+Duran. Only closer on waiver is Yates which I would need to get until Diaz is healthy. Is it worth it for the upside of the Burnes/Diaz combo?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:06
Yeah, you gotta take that, I think. A lot of risk but the upside might be a league-winning deal
Rizzo
11:07
Do I sign Pete Alonso to a massive contract this off-season? I can use some of the Corbin money now that he is off the books. With Wood and House adding to the offense next year, could he be the missing piece for my offense?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:08
You can but you might be tying your fate to Alonso's success and I'm not sure that's a great risk
11:09
Washington will definately spend up this offseason but a big Alonso contract is far from a sure thing and Rizzo just can't hand out another monster stinker
11:10
Last thing he needs is yet another player picking up their million dollar checks wearing a ski mask

Can you please rank 'em by ROS value in a 5x5 NL-only keeper format: Schwellenbach, Waldrep, Mazur. They all were spanked over the past few days.
Nicklaus Gaut
11:11
Waldrep > Schwellenbach >> Mazur
RAGBRAI
11:12
I have Gasser, T Myers, Vines, Cecconi, JJones and Waldrep on my roster, IL or in the minors. Besides Jones will any have value this year? How about next year?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:13
Waldrep/Gasser should both give some value (though probably inconsistently)
And they're both fine assets for next year too
I really like Waldrep a lot
11:14
The other guys are grab baggers
Bob
11:14
Do you trust Rizzo to bounce back or would you move on to take flyers on Horwitz or others?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:14
He'll be okay...but only vs RHP
11:15
And that's the fantasy problem - he's basically a liability vs LHP so his value from week to week be largely schedule determined
11:16
I'm not dropping him for Horwitz but would definitely be scoping for a replacement plan

11:17
AL-only league, OBP instead of AVG.  Wenceel Perez, Hunter Renfroe, Ryan Jeffers, Corey Julks.  Which of these guys is waiver wire bait and which is worth holding through a slump?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:17
Perez and Jeffers are worth holding, the other two are bait

One Blue Eye chomping @ the bit. What do expect when this Warhorse returns?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:19
I like to imagine Scherzer being literally kept in a stable with one of those horse hoods on to keep him calm
FYI he's an all-time fave of mine
11:20
Absolutely dominant yesterday in his rehab start but I imagine he'll need a few more to build up his pitch count (47 pitches yesterday)

Hey, Nick.  Hope your week was better than mine.  Because of Friday and Saturday, my BA was .206, ERA 5.488, and WHIP of 1.3415, in a 5x5, AL-only, rotisserie league.  Hopefully, Soto, Cole, Baz, Yoshida, Casas, E. Ruiz, and Pham, all get off the IL and produce!!  But, in the interim, would it be reasonable to activate and start Drew Thorpe (SP - CWS), sitting Lorenzen to do so?  Thorpe is supposed to have 2 starts (@SEA & @ARI) this week.  Thanks for doing these chats.
