Hi-i, everybody!
Hope y'all had a good holiday weekend - let's talk ball

What is up with Randy Arozarena? Hang in there, cut him loose, or sell low?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:03
Been brutal but I'm still hanging in given his trade value would still be so low and he at least had a better May than April, with his per/PA rates looking closer to last year
It's not all of his problems but a .183 BABIP remains ridiculous
Ryan's Pepiot
11:04
Ryan Pepiot appears to have significant upside talent. Would you agree or disagree?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:04
I do agree - stuff is legit, with a really good fastball.

Good morning Nicklaus. I need some OF help. I am in a 12 team mixed H to H and have Arozarena, Doyle, Mullins, Castellanos and a  slow starting Wyatt Langford coming off the IL. Is he worth hanging onto and who would you drop? Thank you!
Nicklaus Gaut
11:05
I'd rather have the other four over Langford, so he'd be my drop

If Jays continue to struggle where do you see Kikuchi landing? Also, do you see the M’s targeting a traditional 3rd baseman in what is Avery winnable division?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:06
Texas, San Fran, and Houston would all be in the market, I'd expect
11:07
I think Seattle is comfortable with mixing and matching given how much positional flexibility they have on the infield.
SODO MOJO

Turang or Jordan Westberg ROS?

Westburg

Hi. Am in a dynasty league with  2 catchers. Who would you want out of this group and do any stand out either positively or negatively?  Naylor, Ruiz, Bailey, Campusano. Is Henry Davis a better option assuming  he gets his act together?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:08
I love me some Patrick Bailey
Give me him over all the others, including Davis
Chip
11:09
Is Edmund Sosa 'for real'? He's available, and I have a spare roster spot for speculating in a dynasty league, but there's nothing in his historical profile to get excited about.
Nicklaus Gaut
11:09
Nothing to get too excited about. Sosa loves getting hot for 2-3 week stretches and then pumpkining right back
11:10
And yes, "pumpkining" is a totally real word

Currently have M. Garcia @ SS. Is he the real deal. My back up is Dansby. Would you drop Swan for Masyn W?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:10
I'm a big believer in Garcia
I'd rather have Dansby over Masyn

How would you rank J Westburg, J Ortiz, N Gonzalez, C Keith and DJ LeMahieu?

I'm in a one catcher league and I have all of S Murphy, D Jansen, and P Bailey rostered. I really like each of those guys but I can't play all three so it feels silly to roster all of them. Which one would you drop?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:14
Going off fantasy potential, I'd probably drop Bailey bc Jansen has higher ceiling - but the problem with Jansen is health, not talent, so you're always playing with fire
riegs
11:14
How high are you on G Williams once healthy?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:15
Medium to upper high?
11:16
I'm generally very comfortable with young Cleveland pitching and Williams has the stuff to back it up

11:16
Each of S Suzuki, T O’Neill and R Green have been killing me lately. You wouldn’t move on from any of them yet, would you? I was really high on each of them in the preseason
Nicklaus Gaut
11:17
Can't move on yet but yeah, they've been brutal
11:18
especially Suzuki - I have him on a few teams
riegs
11:18
Do you like J deGrom or J Springs better as a IL stash?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:19
DeGrom - Springs will probably be back first but the if you're going to stash a big injury risk, might as well shoot for the biggest ceiling

How do you weigh ROS updated Projections, YTD (think last 60 days) and recent (think last 30 days) numbers in making evaluations on your players and on available players?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:21
In general, the ROS ones are far more trustworthy given they mix in previous year's data but you can't just ignore more recent trends because they offer good context on player differences

When possible, what teams would you avoid having your SPs face? My AL-only staff is Bibee, Flaherty, Schmidt, Bryce Miller and Gilbert. Gilbert is the only pitcher I think I would let pitch against anyone although LAD & Philly in their parks is questionable. What are your thoughts?
Nicklaus Gaut
11:22
I'm rolling my top guys out against almost everyone but I'm always looking for a reason to sit most anyone vs LAD
