If Will Barton gets bought out, should we be interested?
Dana Gauruder
11:03
Do you think they need another wing? That's the question. Probably wouldn't hurt, considering they rely so heavily on Tatum-Brown. Would make a good insurance policy. Doubt Gallinari can play at all this season, no matter how may feel.

What move or moves should Kings fans expect during this trade deadline?
Dana Gauruder
11:07
For a change, it's good to be a Kings fan. They've got a good thing going, I doubt they want to tinker too much. Resolving the Holmes situation would be helpful -- I could them looking for better depth up front. Overall, though, I think they're in pretty good shape. Just getting to the playoffs and being in good position to finish in top six is a major step for that franchise.

Do you think Noel gets bought out? If he does should he consider signing anywhere else besides with Boston?
Dana Gauruder
11:10
Noel, from all indications, has been a good influence in the Pistons locker room despite the lack of playing time. If the Pistons can include his salary in a more expansive deal -- there's a club option on his contract for next season -- they'll go that route. If they can't trade him, Noel would be a prime buyout candidate. I don't know if I'd be a sure thing for Celtics to sign him but it would be a great opportunity for him.

Are we going to buy out Drummond?
Dana Gauruder
11:13
Did I sleep through the trade deadline? I think we're getting a little ahead of ourselves with buyout talk. A lot of that is predicated on what trades are made over the next week. Certainly, if the Bulls begin to "blow it up" and trade a big piece or two, buying out some players might be an option. But Drummond isn't making all that much by NBA standards -- they could simply waive him.

What do you consider Moses Moody's trade value?  Is he worth a first round pick?  Do you seem him being traded and if so, what teams might be a good fit?
Dana Gauruder
11:16
Considering that Moody fell out of the rotation, I doubt they could get much more than a heavily protected firster for him. He hasn't really established a foothold in the league yet. I don't think he'll be moved unless it's part of a more expansive trade.
John Collins
11:16
Am I 100% getting traded?
Dana Gauruder
11:19
Nothing is guaranteed to happen but it appears the Hawks are dropping their price tag. That could facilitate a move. Right now, Atlanta is like a lot of teams. Just kind of flirting with the .500 mark and not really taking that next step. I'd say it's likely Collins will be dealt but it isn't completely necessary.

Am I squeezing another 1st out of another team?
Dana Gauruder
11:21
Depends on which player you're dealing. If he's willing to deal Beasley or Clarkson, I'd say he's got a good shot at acquiring another one.

With the reserves being announced tonight and with Joel Jaylen Shai and Ja as locks,  give me one person from each conference that should be locks as well. I got Bam from The Heat and sabonis from the Kings
Dana Gauruder
11:23
Given his impact on his new team, I'd say Brunson's going to make it. I would be very surprised if Lillard was left out in the West.

Will the 76ers be interested in plumlee at the deadline now that they’re looking for a backup center? How likely is it that plumlee gets dealt?
Dana Gauruder
11:26
Considering the Hornets should be in major sell mode, I could definitely see a move like that. Would be a real nice pickup for the Sixers. Plumlee is only making around $8.5 mill and he's on an expiring deal. But I'm sure there will be a few other contenders who wouldn't mind having Plumlee as the backup center.
Nico Harrison
11:27
Most likely player for me to acquire? Who do I move of Hardaway, Wood, Finney Smith, Bertans, JaVale?
Dana Gauruder
11:31
If you can move Bertans' contract, more power to you. I think Powell's expiring contract would be more attractive to other teams. I would see DFS being considered most valuable to potential suitors because of his willingness to be a role player. I'd kind of like to see them put a package together for DeRozan to ease the burden on Doncic but that's pure speculation.

Which player/team is realistic counterpart in Bones Hyland trade?
Dana Gauruder
11:33
The Timberwolves would seem to be an obvious choice, given that they don't seem to be committed to Russell beyond this season. There was a report that the Hornets had some interest but I don't know how that would work. I can't see playing him with Ball in long stretches and it appears he wants to be a starter somewhere.
JAE CROWDER
11:33
I'm hope they're not teasing me but I'm hearing I should start house shopping in Milwaukee. Have you heard that or am I sitting out the rest of the season
Dana Gauruder
11:36
I do think Crowder will be dealt in the next week. Whether it's the Bucks or not remains to be seen. It appears their meeting with Crowder went well but Phoenix is still looking for another team to get involved because they're hoping for a rotation forward in return. Milwaukee's reported package didn't include one. But I don't think Phoenix's front office wants to deal with this situation beyond the deadline.

This looks like this is going to be the first time in a couple of years a Superstar not just a star is not going to get traded. If you were to guess who is the next Superstar to get traded? I'm going to guess Dame because although they re-tooled, I just don't see enough for them to seriously contend for a championship in the next couple years
Dana Gauruder
11:41
Lillard has been fiercely loyal to Portland. Things would have to go really sour in the second half of the season for him to demand a trade. As for superstars getting traded in general, I guess it also depends on how many NBA players can actually be called true superstars. Usually, they only way they get dealt is by demanding a trade and, as in the case of KD last summer, it's hard to get a fair return.
Joel Embiid
11:41
Seriously. What can I do to finally win the MVP this year
Dana Gauruder
11:42
Just keep doing what you're doing and don't miss many games for injuries or rest. And hope Luka and Nikola need a few weeks off in the second half of the season.

Hi, the Mavs need to get a center who can rebound and give them a legitimate shot blocker. Mo Bamba and Andre Drummond are my suggestions. What is your opinion. Thanks
Dana Gauruder
11:45
Drummond can rebound but he's not a shotblocker. Bamba would be a more viable target. He isn't playing much for the Magic, he's younger and his salary for next season is not guaranteed.

As a Raptors fan, a see the need of them retooling this team. Two out of Four starters may be traded.(FVV, OG, GTJ, PS). Which two you think more likely to go?
Dana Gauruder
11:49
There seems to be more smoke around Anunoby -- a lot of contenders are interested and apparently willing to give up some solid assets for him. FVV and Trent are tougher calls -- they're both heading into free agency, so the acquiring team would have to be interested in re-signing them longer term. I would be very surprised if they dealt Siakam unless he asks for a trade. I just think he's too valuable -- players who can put up the numbers he has are on a short list.

Jaxon Hayes had a promising rookie season but seems to have fallen off the Earth. What happened?
Dana Gauruder
11:52
They've got Zion, they drafted Jones and they added Nance Jr. Those factors pushed him toward the end of the bench.

Who do you think will be the biggest name traded at the deadline?
Dana Gauruder
11:54
I still think DeRozan would make sense for a serious contender. As mentioned earlier, I see Anunoby going elsewhere. Rozier and/or Hayward from Charlotte.

What are your thoughts on this trade the lakers get Gary Trent and Terry Rozier raptors get Gordon Hayward one first round pick from the lakers and hornets and the hornets get Russell Westbrook and Chris Boucher and they will get 2 second round picks from the lakers?
Dana Gauruder
11:58
Would the Lakers be renting Trent or doing that with intent of re-signing him? Those would be some seriously big commitments for them, as well as adding Rozier's deal. I think they'd rather get more up and comers like Huchimura. Would be good deal for the Hornets to offload salary. Might be attractive for the Raptors if the pick they got from the Hornets didn't have a lot of protections.

Is Korkmaz for Hartenstein a possibility? It would save the Knicks money this year and next, but not sure Hartenstein's value is too high for this.
Dana Gauruder
12:00
The Knicks seemed really excited to land Hartenstein in offseason. It would be an interesting backup for Embiid, I'd like it for the Sixers. Would Thibs use Korkmaz? That would be the ultimate question from the Knicks side.
