OK, let's get our chat started...go!!

What are the chances the patriots lose to the jets in the finale?
Gerry Dulac
11:31
I'm not counting on it, but you never know.
BlawnoxBill
11:31
With Ben playing so much better down the stretch does that sorta gaurantee he comes back in 2018?
Gerry Dulac
11:32
I think it points up to all those people who thought he was distracted by retirement talk -- you know, if he's thinking about it, maybe he already has -- that they don't know what they're talking about.
BlawnoxBill
11:32
Personally I think the Pats are very beatable this year.  I believe if both teams make the AFC championship game the Steelers will win.  What say you?
Gerry Dulac
11:32
Not going to disagree

Hi Gerry! Has there ever been Steelers’ season with so much drama from start to finish? I can’t recall.
Gerry Dulac
11:33
Never. Not like this. And they're 12-3, which tells you that, despite what the fans think, they don't let that nonsense affect them.
BlawnoxBill
11:33
Will Steven Ridley give us Patriots secrets?? Lol I think its funny the fan base worrying so much about 92 doing that up in NE.
Gerry Dulac
11:33
Ridley has been gone from there a long time

Harrison had illustrious career up to this point. Is playing time tbat much more important to him than serving the team in whichever way the coaches and his teammates wanted and needed? He could have been major contributor to the Steelers winning a 7th SB with out ever playing a down. Was that really it? Him wanting playing time and not wanting to be a team player?  Happy New Year Gerry.
Gerry Dulac
11:35
That's what he said. He asked them to release him, going back to training camp, because of all the work he did to get ready for the season. There isn't a player on that roster who doesn't want to play. If there is, they should get rid of him

Hi Gerry, thanks for your time. More drama in Pittsburgh. So after all these reports do you believe Mr.Rooney ordered Harrison be cut ? It appears Tomlin didnt want to.  Thanks
Gerry Dulac
11:36
Not at all.

What is this team's achilles heel heading into the playoffs?
Gerry Dulac
11:36
The Patriots

Gerry, another voice thanking you for your fine work.

This year truly feels like the Steelers 'at the height of their powers' (with the exception of Ryan Shazier's injury), and allowing Harrison to walk to the Patriots may have compromised their chances.

If James Harrison makes a substantial contribution to the Patriots beating the Steelers in January, is the Tomlin/Cobert regime in trouble?
Gerry Dulac
11:37
Not at all. But Shazier is the one player on defense they could least afford to lose.

There's probably going to be TONS of questions about Harrison, but did the Steelers really need to keep him on the roster for as long as they did? They didn't use him on the field, but many people said he was kept for a "leadership role." Seeing everything now, and that Harrison was no mentor, what was the point in keeping him on the team? He was just a problem, and I don't know why he was kept on for so long.
Gerry Dulac
11:37
He wasn't a problem. If he was, they might not be 12-3, right? But they kept him in case they needed him. And he didn't want that.

Briefly: our coaches got burned by #89 in the second half while doing single coverage. I guess NE made an adjustment. Vs Houston, we kept #10 under control first half but likewise got burned in the second half. More adjustments we couldn’t counter?
Gerry Dulac
11:39
Those are two of the best receivers in the league. Gronk had one big series. Hopkins had one big catch after being shutout. That's why they are two of the best receivers in the league

Hi Gerry, how do you think Tomlin will handle playing Ben, Bell, Pouncey etc. this week?
Gerry Dulac
11:39
He will play them to the point it appears the Jets are not going to beat the Patriots
Andy
11:39
Can you clarify something about your interview with Harrison? He states that he asked for his release 3 times and then says there was no communication from the Steelers after he cleared waivers. If he wanted released, why does it matter if the Steelers called him?
Gerry Dulac
11:40
It didn't matter to him.

Any sense of whether Antonio Brown will be a full go for the divisional playoff?
Gerry Dulac
11:40
All I will say is the extra week works to his benefit

I have a theory the final straw was Harrison refused to board the plane to Houston, leave his family on Christmas if he was going to be inactive. Any truth?
Gerry Dulac
11:41
Not into theories.
Doug
11:41
Gerry, with more statements from Harrison and his ex-teammates coming out each day, do you still hold the Steelers made a bad move regarding Harrison's release?
Gerry Dulac
11:44
Not at all. If you have paid attention, I have said all along, since the start of the season, the Steelers were not saving Harrison for some magical point late in the season, as though they were going to break out their secret weapon. They knew he couldn't play the way they wanted to play w more man coverage. He wasn't the same player. And they didn't want to make the same mistake with TJ Watt as they did with Jarvis Jones -- play Harrison at the expense of developing their No. 1 pick. That is the reason.
AlvinO’NeilMacBesan
11:44
one would think our coaches would not have made the same mistake twice. What will it take for them to do what every other coaching staff does: Take Away a tesm’s #1 receiver. Am I misreading this?
Gerry Dulac
11:45
Don't you think EVERY team in the league tries to take away Antonio Brown???? That's why he's Antonio Brown.
John
11:45
The Steelers played very poorly following the anthem distraction that impacted the locker room before the Bears game.  What are the chances they can handle this distraction better?
Gerry Dulac
11:46
Oh yeah, they have really been distracted. Terrible. Locker room in disarray.
12-3
