Ok, here we go...fire away!

Hi Gerry:  Thanks for the chats.  In the Ravens game Jaylen Warren had a beautiful 20 yd run.  So of course, they handed it to him again on the very next play-3 yds.  Then a third time between the tackles, zero gain.  I have seen that with Najee many times as well after a good run.  There is no excuse for that lack of preparation and imagination.  That is pure Canada; and maybe Tomlin.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe they were trying to stick with the hot hand. Or, let's see if they can stop that play that worked for 20 yards again??

Gerry, why do you think the center position is undervalued in the NFL?
Gerry Dulac
9:59
Because a lot of teams, like the Steelers think, they can move a guard to center.

Does the release of Desmond King portend a move for Patrick Peterson to the inside with JPJ getting more time outside?
Gerry Dulac

Hasn't been released yet. No, it's more because he didn't play at all anyway. One snap.

HCMT and front office of late seem to sign aging players past their prime who they hope can help our cause with whatever they have left in the tank.  Why not just follow our draft plan and develop our own?  James Farrior and Jeff Hartings no longer seem to be walking in the facility .
Gerry Dulac
10:02
I'm not a big fan of signing players just because they were a former No. 1 pick, hoping they can recapture what it was that made them a No. 1 pick. I'm not interested in their pedigree, just their results.

Are we likely to see more practice squad poaching (ala Darius Rush) or a trade by the deadline? At what position is a move most likely to come - Center?
Gerry Dulac
10:02
They don't need a center, OK

Gerry, you're a golf fan - are any of the current steelers or steelers coaches good golfers?
Gerry Dulac

Yes. PP is the best

Gerry, You are the best! Thank you for being you. It is apparent that Mike T does not give his press conferences the same importance as the fans who listen to them. Is there any place where I can see the names of the reporters who ask the questions? Some deserve recognition while others make me smh.Since they no longer televise the reporters, the questions (or answers) seem more mundane.
Gerry Dulac
10:04
They used to do that years ago when Fox Sports Net broadcast the weekly press conference live. They would put the name under the reporter who asked the question. Now you need voice recognition.

What happened with the team moving on from Desmond King? Seems like he didn't get much time with the squad.
Gerry Dulac
10:05
Probably a good reason why he didn't. They didn't like what they saw, which probably explains why he was sitting out there to begin with. And, for the record, he hasn't been released...yet

The Kelce-Swift thing has me thinking - has a Steeler player ever had a high profile romance?
Gerry Dulac

Terry Bradshaw married Miss Teenage America. He also married skater JoJo Starbuck. Ben Roethlisberger dated golfer Natalie Gulbis and actress Missy Peregrym. Mason Rudolph dated tennis player Genie Bouchard. Enough?

I’m a huge steeler fan I care deeply about the team but I must say everyone is blaming tomlin Matt Canada we get it Canada is apart of the issue but the real problem is Kevin Colbert look at his drafts before he left it hasn’t been great he deserve 60%percent of the blame if not more. He reached for Pickett im not sold on him. Also the steeler way is getting old rooney needs to wake up including tomlin and get up to date with todays nfl stop trying to go out and get cheap corner and invest heavy into the position losing sutton and picking up pat Peterson is looking horrible and I blame the Steelers for that drafting been horrible but Colbert is the blame for everything
Gerry Dulac

I'll let him know.

Why does the offense refuse to attack the middle of the field in its passing game (slants, seam throws, etc)? Is it really just comfort with Kenny?
Gerry Dulac
10:13
Hard to tell sometimes. That could be a good reason.

i Don’t believe in Pickett he is not the answer and I stand by it but knowing the Steelers they will blame the offensive coordinator for his struggles but hey man sometimes u have to make the throws he misses easy throws u can tell when someone has it and don’t have it he does not have it . I would move on after this season. If thing keep looking like this
Gerry Dulac
10:13
I don't think they are going to move on from Pickett after the season, but I will say the blame is not solely on Matt Canada. His QB needs to play better, not just in the 4th quarter.

How likely is the team to move one of its Guards to Center this year?
Gerry Dulac
10:15
I don't think that is on their to-do list. Why, is Mason Cole that bad??

Hi Gerry:  Thanks again for the chats.  All summer we heard the Rookie TE Washington was huge, 6’7 and unstoppable on the goal line plays.  Yet zero throws to him on the few plays inside the 10.  What gives?
Gerry Dulac
10:15
I wish I knew the answer. I didn't expect him to get a ton of targets, but I expected some.
Favoritism
10:16
I thought King moved ahead of Gunner on the depth chart?  Why get rid of him and possibly keep Gunner?  It seems that Tomlin has "his guys" and makes his roster and playing based on that and not performance.
Gerry Dulac
10:16
Did you watch him return kicks???
Stuck in the Middle
10:16
I know Tomlin didn't say much yesterday (he never does), but it sounds like no major changes or work took place over the extended break.  We are underperforming across the board and it looks like we are just going to do the same things over and over again.  Did you get that sense?
Gerry Dulac

Very very perceptive my friend
