OK kids, it's time to get started so let's have at it....
Mike from NY
10:55
Hi Gerry. Isn't Mason Rudolph the perfect Steeler QB? He's 8-7-1 as a starter with no playoff wins. We can probably pay Rodgers $20 million more to do the same thing
Gerry Dulac
10:56
Mike, I think you're on to something there..!!
Bill in LA
10:56
If Browns QB Kenny Pickett torches the Steelers for a Browns win in September, will you give me, Bill in LA, a 'pay the man!'?
Gerry Dulac
10:56
Absolutely!!
Stairway to seventh seed
10:56
Gerry: there is a lot of talk about the Steelers drafting a QB in 2026 at home.  However, given their obsessive focus on getting 9 wins a year could signing accomplished, but well past their prime veterans to one-year deals become an annual tradition?
Gerry Dulac
10:58
I don't think the Steelers' 2026 draft plans for a QB have anything to do with the draft being held here, but it would make for a nice -- and very popular -- storyline. This will be the last year for the one-year QB, trust me.

10:58
Gerry, Aren't the Jets still on the hook for Rodgers' salary this year? Can't we get the Russell Wilson discount?
Gerry Dulac
10:59
Rodgers has been released, so anything he signs will be a brand new deal. The Steelers are offering him a one-year deal for an amount I have not been told but can probably easily guestimate.

Hi Gerry - What do you make of this offense? Perhaps the best WR tandem outside the Bengals. They have a run-first OC yet were near the bottom of the league in runs per carry. Old school head coach. Oh yeah, and huge wild card with the QB. What kind of identity or strategy do you think they will have based on this mix, especially with Metcalf?
Gerry Dulac
11:00
Batman identity. Won't know till it's unmasked.
Yogi in Yonkers
11:00
All picks from the past two drafts still with the team at the moment. That's pretty impressive isn't it? Is that more a result of cagey drafting by the leadership or that the team was so old and needy?
Gerry Dulac
11:00
Little of both, but the drafts the past two years have been very good
Yogi in Yonkers
11:00
Suppose Johnston and Waitman punt to a dead heat in preseason. Do you think Boswell would get to pick based on who the better holder is in his mind?
Gerry Dulac
11:01
Nope. It will be Johnston.
Josh
11:01
Gerry, as we sit here today, given the recent Russell Wilson news, what percentage would you put on Rodgers signing with the Steelers?
Gerry Dulac
11:02
Wilson's signing does nothing in terms of impacting whether he signs or not. But it does show that the Steelers did not consider Wilson an option and they are all in on waiting for Rodgers. That, though, I don't think, is breaking news, at least not to me.
Chaz Bradshaw
11:02
I like Rodgers for one year. They have the money and maybe they find a way to win 11-12 games.  The quarterbacks in the draft are mostly day 2 guys and one may slip without to much of a risk. I feel Rodgers to Metcalf for 12 TDs is reasonable. Let’s go!!
Gerry Dulac
11:03
Chaz, you appear to be in the minority. But I admire your positivity
Bill in LA
11:03
The Wilson signing by the Steelers drove their 2 top QB picks off the roster. Then Steelers then had an identical record, and now the Wilson has signed with the Jets. Would you now agree the Russell WIlson plan was a failure and that signing Wilson was an overall set back decision for the Steelers organization?
Gerry Dulac
11:05
It wasn't a total failure because 1) that's why they signed him to a one-year deal -- to see what they had and where they were. And 2) they did make the postseason with him. But, yes, they are right back to where they were last year, if not even further behind.

Is the coaching staff at all optimistic about Roman Wilson being a big contributor this year? You've stated the staff was not happy with his grasp of the offense last year.
Gerry Dulac
11:06
Sure they are. But I never said they weren't happy with his grasp of the offense or whatever you think I said. What I said is, because he was a rookie who missed all of training camp and was on IR for a large portion of the regular season, he was so far behind that he never had time to assimilate into the offense
Sal
11:07
Happy Wednesday Gerry! Do you think We can get back our 2nd rd for this draft using those comp picks for next year so we can have 7 picks this draft? Or the plan is stack as much comp picks as possible so we can use them in 2026 Draft for QB in Rd1 ?
Gerry Dulac
11:07
Sal, I suggest you pay a lot of heed to the second part of your question
Old School
11:07
Some suggest that a large portion of Steeler fans would go ballistic if the team went with Mason Rudolph in 2025 and the team had a losing season. I don’t believe that. But what are you thoughts?  Thank you.
Gerry Dulac
11:08
And there's a large portion of the fan base that is happy to see Mason back and think he is just as good an option as Aaron Rodgers. Depends to whom you are listening
Tiger
11:08
Gerry, do you think the Steelers are prepared to open the season with either Mason or a 2025 drafted QB as its starter? Thanks.
Gerry Dulac
11:08
Mason, yes. Rookie, not at all
Josh
11:09
We all pretty much know the Steelers won't pay Pickens, but has there been any info out there as to what he's looking for in his second contract?
Gerry Dulac
11:09
None. And there won't be. If there is, it will only be speculation by people who don't know. And do you know what team is going to be offering him a second contract?
Sal
11:09
With Russel Wilson in the Giants, Do you see any decision from Aaron Rodgers in the near future?
Gerry Dulac
11:11
There's no correlation. Wilson repeatedly told the Steelers he wanted to come back. I would certainly guess everyone got their answer to just how serious of an option he really was for the Steelers
Tom M.
11:11
The formula for compensatory picks is a mystery to me. Do you know if Wilson signing with the Giants will have a significant impact on that?  He was only here one year but did sign a $20MM contact.
Gerry Dulac
11:12
He was an urestricted free agent who signed a big contract. That usually means a third- or fourth-round comp pick. So does Justin Fields. And Najee Harris. And even Larry Ogunjobi to a degree
Mullzy
11:12
Why hasn’t Rodgers sign yet ?
Gerry Dulac
11:12
I'll ask him
Yogi in Yonkers
11:12
Good morning Gerry. A couple of weeks ago it seemed the QB flavor of the month was Joe Milton. Any possibility of bringing him in? I'm guessing your answer is we will have to wait and see what Rodgers decides, right?
Gerry Dulac
11:12
He was only the flavor of fans
Yogi in Yonkers
11:12
Have you seen Holcomb in person lately? How does he look?
