OK kids, we're going to start our chat in just a few minutes....
10:56
OK, let's get started...

Gerry: maybe this is an unlikely scenario, but if Fields develops into a top 10 QB for the Jets, will AJRII hold anybody accountable next offseason?
Gerry Dulac
10:56
You're right, it's unlikely

Gerry, as you have mentioned, Mason Rudolph was treated very poorly by the Steelers for a long time. Why do you think Mason is coming back for more punishment?
Gerry Dulac
10:56
That's a good question Bill. I'm not sure.

Gerry: Khan was viewed as a shrewd negotiator for the Claypool deal. However, after not getting a WR2 last year or Fields this year does it now look like maybe he is just a negotiator that always pushes the other side too hard to give him a great deal? Does he pass up on good deals even in cases where the team really needs something when the other side won’t cave to his excessive demands?
Gerry Dulac
10:57
No

Hi Gerry, do you think the Steelers have a plan if Rodgers goes elsewhere or retires. I echo Cam Heyward's thoughts on waiting for Rodgers, and I would be happy with a Rudolph/Flacco combo, what do yo think?
Gerry Dulac
10:57
They do, and you're suggestion isn't a bad one, maybe even plausible

Happy Wednesday Gerry! After today’s report of vikings interest on riding with McCarty as starter, do you think we Will hear about Aarón Rodgers decision today??
Gerry Dulac
10:57
Nope

Louisville QB Tyler Shough was the Steeler’s first pre-draft visitor. His highlights on You Tube look fantastic! Do you have an opinion on this player, and what are the chances he is drafted and becomes QB1?
Gerry Dulac
10:58
Yeah, I'm with ya, his tape looks pretty good. Then again, every tape can make every player look good.

Do you think we get a Rodgers ANSWER (now that we have some info on the Vikings decision) by tonight? end of week? Thanks Gerry!
Gerry Dulac
10:58
Nope

Cam’s recruiting pitch comments are accurate. But did he not help recruit DangerRuss just a year ago?
Gerry Dulac
10:58
Only one man was able to get Russ here last year and it wasn't Cam

in my opinion the Steelers should of invested in a FA DL or CB which would of helped for a few years instead of waiting on AR for whatever one year might bring. What say you?
Gerry Dulac
10:59
They did -- Darius Slay, remember?

Almost Draft Time. Thinking the first 2 picks ( 21st and 83rd) go DL with 21, RB with 83. I personally really like Giddens RB.
Gerry Dulac
10:59
Not bad, not bad at all

Do we go back to Russ if we miss out on Rodgers? That the plan?
Gerry Dulac
10:59
After all this time, when they could have made that decision a long time ago, no

I asked you last time we chatted your guess who would be the QB, which you said was Wilson. Still think that?
Gerry Dulac
11:00
No. But if you have been paying attention, whenever anyone has asked that, I have given them three different answers.

Are the chances of Pittsburgh signing Russ more unlikely?

Hello . Thank you as always for the chat . Any idea how long this QB fiasco is going to drag on ? A week , a month or till the draft ? Why can Steelers front office not give Rodgers a deadline to make a decision ? Do you think Russel Wilson is still in play ? Seems to me that Steelers will not do anything against wishes of Arthur Smith and it does not make any sense . Thank you very much .
Gerry Dulac
11:02
I'm afraid it's going to drag on for a while, or at least until some teams figure they are moving forward without him. And the more this drags on, the more apparent it becomes the Steelers have little interest in bringing back Russ

Gerry, do you think Najee opening up about lack of discipline, etc. after the Buffalo loss played in to him not seeing his 5th year option?
Gerry Dulac
11:03
Not at all. I think the idea of paying him $9million or so a year to average 3.9 yards per carry was not on their bingo card

11:04
Do you envision the Steelers recouping a 2nd round pick before the draft by trading a certain player or trading back in the 1st to get more picks?
Gerry Dulac
11:04
That wouldn't surprise me at all. But they have not shown any recent history of trading back in the first round.

Would Dan Rooney handle things the same way they’re being handled today? Case in point: the A-Aron Rodgers saga. I can’t help but think things would be different.
Gerry Dulac
11:06
We'll never know. But Mike Tomlin is the one who wants Rodgers and apparently the people in charge are not disagreeing

Good Morning Gerry, So let's say Aaron Rodgers stands firm at a $35 million dollar salary or else he walks away from the Steelers for good, but Russell Wilson says he wants $23 million but has room to work that number around. Who do the Steelers choose in that scenario? Do they follow the money or use their already conceived convictions to make a decision?
Gerry Dulac
11:06
I have been told it's not about money

Hello . Thank you as always for the chat . Kevin Colbert was an awesome GM , even if many Steelers fan do not admit it . He never went to draft without at least attempting to fill a position in free agency . Now we do not have enough people on DL line . There are no guarantees in the draft . Should they not try to st least make an attempt to sign someone like Calais Campbell , even though he is older to at least have some back up options , other than the one they signed since Ogunjobi is gone ? Thank you
Gerry Dulac

What, you don't like bringing back Isaiahh Loudermilk???
