Hey everyone...I see there are already people in the waiting room. Just one more hour to go before we start!
A few notes for newbies:
1. Please login with your name.

2. Please "@name" anyone you want to address.

3. This chat is moderated, to keep things organized. I will post everyone's questions/comments, but there may be a lag. The exception will be duplicate questions/comments. I also reserve the right not to post anything from anyone who doesn't identify themselves.

I've gotten some messages from forlorn East Coast fans who are bummed that we will be starting so late for them. I'm sorry! But an explanation: David very graciously offered to make himself available at an earlier time, but I couldn't do that this weekend. During the week was an option...but I felt the risk that Dave would have to cancel with something work-related coming up was too great. So here we are!
9:07
I will also tell you this: Anyone who has ever hung out with Dave at his place will tell you that it all takes place late at night. So there is a bit of recreating that experience for everyone tonight. It's always a blast!
9:08
So if you have anything you want to ask him about comic art, the hobby, the market, or anything about movie props, his TV/movie work...here's your chance!
See you at 10!

Hey all! Here's my question for Dave. "Props seem to be the most problematic to authenticate. Art, sure it happens, but a good eye will find a forgery. But a prop, like a costume... How do you know for sure that it as screen used? Do you take the auction house's word for it, or are there tell-tale ways to tell. (Haven't listened to the podcast yet and realize that might be the answer."
