Hey everyone, I'm Bobby Sylvester of the FantasyPros Football Podcast. I'll be taking your questions for an hour today. Let's do this!
Oliver
2:04
Without Jeffrey and Marquise Goodwin, which Recieving Weapon is the best for the Eagles? love the show
Bobby Sylvester
2:06
Thanks for listening, Oliver! This is a tricky team from a wide receiver standpoint because it's quite possible their two best pass-catchers are both tight ends. Essentially, DeSean Jackson could be their #3 (or even #4 with Miles Sanders) passing weapon and yet their top receiver. I prefer to grab him in drafts over Jalen Reagor at this point only because there will be no preseason games so it may take a few weeks for Reagor to get up to speed. Jackson is a solid WR5 in fantasy drafts this year.

What do you think Metcalfs upside is this year and how early would you draft him in 1/2 point PPR? Thanks
Bobby Sylvester
2:11
Metcalf's upside is absurd this season, and you may think he might not have as enough juice to jump from WR #30 up into the top 5, but it's entirely possible. We've seen it before with similar players of this prototype like Dez Bryant and Mike Evans. These things happen every year (see Devante Parker breaking out last year--everyone would have said that was impossible). But I'm not taking him until the 6th round, and he probably won't be there. I prefer Woods, D Parker, A Green, Chark, Diggs and McLaurin, who are all going behind him in drafts. Each of them has a more clear path to 100+ or even 120+ targets

I find myself torn between a couple players at multiple points during mock drafts this year. In .5 PPR redraft leagues this year, please let me know who to draft when faced with these decisions. 1. K Drake or M Sanders? 2. M Stafford or C Wentz 3. DJ Moore or Calvi Ridley 4.  T McLaurin or M Gallup.
Bobby Sylvester
2:16
For Drake and Sanders, it really comes down to the schemes. Sanders is the better runner, receiver, plays behind a better offensive line and in a better offense, but the Cardinals run more plays and have shown a willingness to give the vast majority of the touches to a bell-cow. Sanders has more upside but I'll take Drake's safety

Stafford had a strong stretch last year but we know exactly who he is and it's a fringe QB1/QB2. Wentz has MVP upside so he's my guy in the 9th or 10th if you want a QB there

Ridley is among the elite receivers in terms of efficiency and should finally get the target share this year to help him pass Moore

McLaurin is a clear-cut alpha receiver in his offense. Gallup may play 50% of the snaps. I like Gallup, but that one is easily McLaurin for me

Hey Fantasy Pros Team, i love all of your content, very good job boys :)
Bobby Sylvester
2:18
Thanks for taking the time to say this, Mike. We love being able to do what we do. Still pinch myself every day and am grateful to you all who allow me to do this for a living. Glad you enjoy it and hope we can help you win a title this year!

participating in a new ppr dynasty league. What round should I target Jonathan Taylor?
Bobby Sylvester
2:19
I highly recommend approaching new dynasty leagues with a win-now approach. Everyone wants to build a powerhouse for the future so you can get some crazy values. Plus, it
2:20
's always easy to find the teams who are rebuilding and just go all in every year. Rebuilding is fun, but winning is more fun and most dynasty league coaches will make it easier to compete year in and year out, especially in year 1. You'd have to spend a 2nd rounder on Taylor and I just wouldn't do that when you can get a Dalvin Cook or Julio Jones there instead

2:21
Does Damian Williams opting out for 2020 make Clyde Edwards Helaire a first round pick or do the Chiefs bring in a veteran (Devonta Freeman?).  Also, what does this do for the value of Darwin Thompson, Darrel Williams, and DeAndre Washington?
Bobby Sylvester
2:24
CEH will be gone by the end of the first round in every single league this year whether you and I think he belongs there or not. I personally would take him 6th overall after the big 4 (CMC, Saquon, Kamara, Zeke) and Thomas. If Cook end his holdout, CEH will move to #7 for me

I actually have come full circle on the backup situation. I figured they'd grab Miller or Freeman at first but now I am a huge believer in DeAndre Washington. Went back and watched his film and will now be targeting him in every league. Wouldn't be shocked if it's a 50/50 split the first month and I imagine he will be the clear-cut, three-down backup if CEH was hurt---potential league-winner

Who should be the 1 Overall in 2QB Leagues? I am leaning CMC still but want to know if Lamar or Mahomes is worth that.
Bobby Sylvester
2:28
This is an important question, but I still think you are getting to cute if you take anyone besides CMC in any format. The difference between Christian McCaffrey (413 fantasy points) and the #2 fantasy back, Aaron Jones (290) was as large as the difference between #2 and #57, J.D. McKissic (67)
2:29
Jackson and Mahomes are great, but you can still get Tanehill and Burrow in round 4 and 5 and they'll likely be less than 100 points less than even the QB1

2:30
I have the opportunity to keep one of the following for a 7th round pick. Who would you keep Deebo Samuel, Ronald Jones, and Raheem Mostert?
Bobby Sylvester
2:31
Winston
2:33
Thanks again for your time & hard work. I appreciate it. *DYNASTY* is it reasonable to assume QB's Drew Lock, Daniel Jones & Justin Herbert could eventually 1 day be QB1's? The talent surrounding them is highly appealing. Thank you & all who help run the site and provide advice, guidance & much needed help. Stay safe everybody!
cool 1
Bobby Sylvester
2:35
Definitely reasonable to see any of them becoming that. Expecting it is entirely different, however. Among them, Jones is the only one I'd say has a 50% shot or better at consistently reaching that level. he can get it down through the ground and showed flashes of being an excellent passer last season. Both Lock and Herbert have a long way to go. Lock slipped to the 2nd for a reason and was mediocre last season. Herbert is raw and has some major question marks.

Should we be investing more in handcuff RBs due to the increased risk of games missed due to coronavirus?
Bobby Sylvester
2:38
Absolutely--this is a very important point. Co-Vid19 test results take time so a player will be held out on game day if they have a fever from any cause

That means those who have strep throat, the flu, ear infections, bronchitis, rotavirus, norovirus or any strand of coronavirus could be late scratches

Players like Latavius Murray, Tony Pollard, Darrynton Evans, DeAndre Washington, Chase Edmonds and Alexander Mattison could all be RB1s if the starter was out in a given week. Even if you don't own the starter, you'd be wise to roster these players
2:42
**BREAKING NEWS** Antonio Brown has been notified that he will be suspended for eight games if he were to come back

2:42
Is CEH the clear 1.01 even in standard scoring (0ppr) dynasty rookie drafts?
Bobby Sylvester
2:44
I actually wouldn't say the clear 1.01. Jonathan Taylor is more talented and plays behind a better offensive line that is also more committed to the run. He may not get the heavy majority of the touches in year 1, but his longterm juice at least puts him in consideration. I'd still take CEH, but it isn't a gimme
Phrog
2:45
Outside of CMC, Elliott and Barkley, who do you think has a chance to finish as the RB1 this season?
Bobby Sylvester
2:47
I would actually put Kamara #2, Barkely #3 then three or four others ahead of Zeke (CEH, Sanders, Mixon, Drake). Zeke just doesn't get enough work in the passing game and has been slowing down efficiency wise. With that said, he is by far the safest back outside of CMC so I'm still taking him at #4 overall if he is there and Kamara is gone

2:47
Who is your sneaky pick this year, the best value that you think you can get based on expected performance and ADP. Thanks!
Bobby Sylvester
2:50
Last year this guy was Devante Parker for both Tags and I. This year I'm taking another wide receiver and it's Sammy Watkins. He has been frusterating but that was when we were drafting him in the 3rd or 4th round. You can get him in the 13th last year. Yet somehow, in the 8 weeks he was healthy, Watkins was a top 10 fantasy wideout. He led the Chiefs in receiving during the playoffs. The former top 5 pick's upside is HUGE
Kris
2:50
If waiting on your 2nd RB what are some names we should be targeting?
Bobby Sylvester
2:53
I would not advise waiting on a second running back unless value just kept find it's way to you, like Kelce in the middle of the second, Thielen in the 3rd and Beckham in the 4th. At that point, I'd be glad to grab Mostert or Montgomery in the 5th or 6th as my RB2. If you mean later, Tarik Cohen/James White/Ronald Jones come to mind
Bloedow
2:54
Best rookie wrs to snag in dynasty I really like Ruggs especially to make an impact year 1 what are your thoughts
Bobby Sylvester
2:57
I'm assuming this means based on value. Otherwise my pick would be CEH at 1.01. I personally love Brandon Aiyuk (fits Shanahan mold perfectly) and Zack Moss (not a believer in Singletary and Moss is a great receiving back) at their ADPs. If you want to go deeper, Donovan Peoples-Jones and Quintez Cephus stand out to me as favorite late-round targets. Salvon Ahmed has major upside if he can find his way into touches with Shanahan in SF

2:58
Top 5 backup RBs you are targeting in every draft?
Bobby Sylvester
2:59
I'll sort them by how much I love them at ADP, not by the best overall backups (Hunt would be 1st):

Tony Pollard
Latavius Murray
DeAndre Washington
Alexander Mattison
Darrynton Evans
Chase Edmonds
Ryquell Armstread

Keep Godwin and lose a 5th Rd or Mosert and lose a 7th?  10 Team PPR and I pick 10th.
Bobby Sylvester
3:02
I'm a huge Mostert guy but it's gotta be Godwin here for me. Think of it this way: what can you get with those 5th and 7th round picks? Alright, now add them to the package and pretend it's a trade. Which side would you take?

Godwin and 7th (Kareem Hunt)
for
Mostert and 5th (T.Y. Hilton)

Give me the Godwin package all day, baby
Seth
3:02
What TEs should be targeted if waiting until rounds 10 and later?
Bobby Sylvester
3:02
JONNU SMITH!
