Hey everyone! Thanks for joining me today for the live chat! My name's Kyle and I'll be answering as many of your fantasy football questions as I can get to over the next hour. Feel free to drop in your burning question at any time! Let's get started.

Hey Kyle - who are you targeting in your drafts as this years Miles Sanders?  I'm looking for some middle rounds league winners who might not have a clear path to start the year.
Kyle Yates
1:02
The player that immediately comes to mind is Ke'Shawn Vaughn. Ronald Jones is also present in this backfield and he might begin the season as the starter, but I fully expect Vaughn to take over at some point. If you're looking for a player who could follow the same path as Miles Sanders last year, Vaughn is the first one that comes to mind. Otherwise, JK Dobbins in Baltimore is the other name to keep in mind.

Thanks for hosting the chat!  Looking to possibly trade D Adams for a high-end RB.  Any idea which I should be able to target?
Kyle Yates

Your league settings are important in order for me to be able to fully answer this question. If it's a Dynasty league, I'd only be looking to move Adams for one of the big 3: CMC, Saquon, or Zeke. Otherwise, I'm looking to hold onto Adams. He could very easily finish the season as the No. 1 WR.

***DYNASTY*** Where are you on the Patriots QB situation? Stidham sounds like a promising prospect who performed well in the preseason last year & is known to be a dual-threat. With Cam's injury history and lack of knowledge on the playbook can you see Stidham playing this year regardless if he is not named the starter? Thank you & stay safe.
Kyle Yates
1:05
Cam's going to be the starter for the Patriots as long as he's healthy. Stidham showed promise in college, but he actually took a huge step backwards his senior year. That's too long of a gap for him to be considered an option to hold off Cam Newton. When he's healthy, Newton's unlike any other QB in the league and he's going to be an incredibly valuable option for fantasy football this season. If the Pats were confident in Stidham, they would've moved forward with him and Brian Hoyer.

12-man PPR league. Who would you keep between Ridley and D.J. Moore? No picks are tied to any keepers.
Kyle Yates
1:07
This is such a great question. Ridley and Moore are literally one point apart from one another in my projections. Not just one spot in my rankings, but one actual fantasy point projection. Moore could see a ton of targets this season, but the scoring opportunities probably aren't going to be there this year with this team. However, Ridley has the potential to hit 10 receiving touchdowns in addition to 110+ targets. I'll go Ridley, but it's ridiculously close.

For dynasty start ups this year, do you prefer going running back heavy or wide receiver heavy in the early rounds? are you a fan of the Zero-RB or Zero-WR strategies this year?
Kyle Yates
1:09
We just finished recording the FP Podcast and we ended up talking about these draft strategies! I personally recommend to not go into a draft with a set strategy in mind or anything like that. I recommend keeping your options open and simply taking value as it falls to you. The one thing I will mention to keep in mind is that RB depth dries up super quick, while there are valuable WR options later on in Dynasty startups. I often find myself letting that be a tie-breaker if I'm stuck between two good players.

If you had the choice between Jefferson and Ruggs in a rookie dynasty draft who who take and why? Thanks
Kyle Yates
1:10
I love Ruggs' talent, but the offense may not be able to support him as a top-tier fantasy option. However, Jefferson is clearly going to be on the field and he has incredible upside if we see Adam Thielen struggle with injury again. I'd personally lean Jefferson right now, but it's close.

Would you rather have CMC, or Kamara and trade your 16th round pick for someone else's 5th round pick?
Kyle Yates
1:11
It's very hard to say that I don't want CMC this year. He's just so incredibly dominant and is a fantasy cheat code. Even though I believe Kamara will bounce back this year, CMC has to be the answer here.

Who would you rather take at the 2-3 turn (I am planning on taking cmc first ovr): obj, drake, mixon, cooper
Kyle Yates
1:14
If all of those players are still there, it'd be very hard to pass on Drake and Mixon. You'd have three top-10 RBs. Meanwhile, OBJ and Cooper both fall outside my top-12 WRs.

I am a big fan of Calvin Ridley breaking out this year and I am trying to get him everywhere I can. I have a 12 team one quarterback PPR league start up this Friday and would be totally fine reaching for him in round three to make sure I get him. I have the ninth pick so it would be 33rd overall if my math is right. I also would love to snag CEH if he’s available, but I’m not sure who to pick with my third rounder because there’s a solid chance both guys are gone by my fourth round pick six picks later, what would you do?
Kyle Yates
1:16
I'm obviously a big fan of Ridley this year too. In this instance, it all depends on what I did with my first two picks. If I loaded up on WR with the first two rounds, I'd have a very hard time passing up on CEH. It all depends on who you think still has a chance of being there at your 4th round pick. I'll tell you though that I doubt CEH makes it there...Ridley has a chance of still being on the board.

Hey Kyle, just wanted to say I really admire your work as a fantasy analyst and for being such a strong Christian male. It’s very inspiring, as a fellow Christian. Calvin Ridley question. Is it slightly reaching to grab him middle of the third round. His name is everywhere on fantasy websites for good reason this season. He’s only going to climb further come draft day I predict.
Kyle Yates
1:18
Crazy that these two questions came in back to back...first off, thank you for the compliment, Billy. I greatly appreciate that. As for Ridley, I'm fine reaching a little bit for him as opposed to ADP Consensus! I reached in the third round for Chris Godwin everywhere last year and it worked out for me!

Hey Kyle, I know Tags is all in on Ronald Jones from the Bucs, but you’re a KeShawn Vaughn man. Why do you want KeShawn over RoJo? Especially in a crazy off-season, where there’s maybe no preseason games. I’m torn on the Bucs RB situation, but one will be a stud.
Kyle Yates
1:20
For sure. The truncated offseason certainly throws a wrench in my argument for Vaughn. Vaughn fits what Bruce Arians/Tom Brady values at the position more, in my opinion. I was impressed with Vaughn as a pass-catcher and pass protector at Vanderbilt, which are two incredibly important traits for this offense. Jones struggles in both those areas, which I believe creates a path for Vaughn to get onto the field. With the uncertainty of the preseason, it's possible that we see Jones start the first few games, but I do believe that Vaughn will be the starter eventually.

I have the first pick of a 6 player PPR draft league. Should I take CMC or Saquon?
Kyle Yates
1:21
A 6 player league has to be crazy fun! The answer is CMC. He's a cheat code for fantasy football and he absolutely deserves to be the first overall pick everywhere.

Who is the WR to draft in fantasy from SF if Deebo Samuel misses the start of season as expected? Would you be drafting Hurd or Aiyuk late? Maybe Bourne? Surely one SF WR will be valuable to start season. Kittle can’t get all the targets.
Kyle Yates
1:22
If Samuel doesn't start the season, the player that I'm actually warming up to is Trent Taylor. He's the slot receiver for this team and should have the inside track on the job over Jalen Hurd. He's currently going outside the top-350 in ADP Consensus, so you're guaranteed to get him with your last pick. If I'm wrong and he's not as involved in the offense, you can easily move on from him in week one for the hot waiver wire pickup.
Oliver
1:23
Hey man, what is your favourite spot to pick in a Re-draft?
Kyle Yates
1:24
Great question! In previous years, I would've balked over the No. 1 overall pick...however, this year I'm willing to draft on the turns if it means that I get CMC.

Hey Kyle - thanks for hosting a chat! Looking to pay off a Year 2 keeper season tank in the upcoming final year of our 3-year Keeper League (12-team, 0.5 PPR)
My likely keepers: A. Eckeler (4th Rd), C. Ridley (4th Rd), AJ Brown (16th Rd)
Likely Early Picks based on my own league draft slot pick projections: 1.01, 1.07, 2.12, 3.01, and 3.07
Assuming my league tends to keep best available and value, I’d probably be looking at a choice at 1.01 between D. Adams (WR) and J. Mixon (RB) – should I grab Mixon and lean on my later picks to scoop up additional lower end WR1 upside guys like JuJu, or Thielen, or grab Adams and use those later picks to grab some mix of Gurley, Conner, CEH, D. Johnson, Bell, or Carson and hope one or two hit?
Kyle Yates
1:25
Good question. I'd be going for the guy who I think has a clear chance to be the No. 1 at his position, which is Adams. Mixon's going to be really good this year, but I don't see him passing up CMC, Saquon, or Zeke. I'd be willing to go for Adams and someone like CEH if he's still there, personally.

I have pick #2 with Dak (15th rd) & James Conner (9th rd) as my keepers. Would you draft Amari Cooper in the 3rd rd for the stack? I don’t think he will make it back to me in the 4th
Kyle Yates
1:29
I'm personally a lot lower on Amari this season than a lot of other analysts. I think he's going to be fine, but I think it's crazy that he's currently going as WR9 in ADP Consensus. With the addition of CeeDee Lamb, plus Zeke and Pollard being involved out of the backfield, it's hard to see Cooper getting the target volume to be a top-10 WR. It all depends on your other options in the 3rd round, but I'm sure there are other guys you can go after there other than Amari.

Picking 17th in a 20 team dynasty startup. What is my dream 5 round start If I want to win now and what would it be if I wanna tank to become a powerhouse in the future. Or what would it look like to mix both ideas
Kyle Yates
1:30
Hey Steffen, this is unfortunately impossible to answer. Every league is different and a 20-team Dynasty startup is impossible to predict. The best I can recommend is to head over to fantasypros.com and the Dynasty rankings section! Drafting with ECR rankings in front of you is going to help you assemble that dream 5-round start!

How productive do you think leonard fournette will be this year? Is he a good rb2? Please explain, thanks!
Kyle Yates
1:32
I believe that Fournette will finish the year as a RB2, but I don't think it's going to come on the back of consistent production. Last season, Fournette delivered a safe floor because of his receiving ability. However, with the addition of Chris Thompson this offseason, it's unlikely that that volume repeats. He's a risky RB2 selection.

Could the Arizona offense take a step toward ATL passing volume this season? If that happens, you have to think guys like Kirk shoot you in value?
Kyle Yates
1:33
I don't think they're going to hit the absurd passing totals that Atlanta consistently puts together, personally. This offense will be able to run the ball effectively, and in a different way than Atlanta, due to how spread out the personnel is on the field. I think they'll be right around the same number of plays they were at least year with a little more efficiency and TD production. Kirk's a WR4 this season, in my opinion.

Hey Kyle! I have Deebo Samuel in Dynasty and I’m wondering if I should hold or look to trade? Who should I target if I do decide to move on?
