Hey folks, we'll get started in a few moments.

How many of your teams are still fighting for first place?
Brad Johnson
1:06
I had 6 rosters this season. One of them is very likely to win. Big category leads after the first week of our two-week final. In several categories, the lead is larger than an average week of production.
1:07
That's a 22-team league. I'm in a tight battle for third place in Tout Wars, but 1st and 2nd are in their own tier.
1:08
I have one other league where I'm in 6 of 20. Top 5 pays. Trying to scrape those extra points for a free entry next year, but I think I'll fall short.
1 of the other teams was on NFBC, and, sadly, I always seem to ghost those. The other two were successful rebuild years.

This year I forgot to update my lineup the day before Michael Lorenzen threw a no hitter! Has this ever happened to you in the past?
Brad Johnson

for sure. The example that comes to mind is Framber Valdez had a stud outing after looking a little broken. I sat him. I'd actually already traded him for Gausman, but our league has a 2 day delay between accepting and executing trades.

Who’s your top Fantasy prospect for next year?👍🏻
Brad Johnson
1:12
Several of the top remaining prospects aren't big sources of HR/SB. I wanna say Wyatt Langford.
I think Holliday will be up but look more like an early-career Wander - obviously talented but not quite fueling fantasy championships.
1:13
Chourio might be more of a midseason guy.
Caminero is on my shortlist
Skenes, but I lean away from pitchers

Hi Brad, any tips on how to silence the constant cadence of Death's infernal army as it marches purposely towards your inevitable doom?
Brad Johnson
1:14
I go for a set of headphones and any melodic metal with a staccato drumline. The infernal army is more of a slow/steady beat.

2 week championship, or end the season a week early due to clinches and rest?
Brad Johnson
1:15
I do the 2-week champ series, but it's tempting to wrap up early. I'm seeing more leagues end in August too. None of mine.

Morel or Blackmon at Util?
Brad Johnson
1:16
Classic "what do you need" scenario
1:17
Blackmon's higher floor and might even help in AVG. Morel has 5 HR weeks in him, but he also sometimes doesn't have any hits and/or gets subbed.
If you're trying to make up ground, it's probably Morel. If you're playing from ahead, probably Blackmon.

I feel bad for my competitions poor luck, last year he fell a QS short of winning in the semi finals. Nola was on his way to the QS but rain delay ruined it.  THISN year I plugged in Lane Thomas figuring 2 games is better than 1 and my opponent lost on Thomas's 9th inning garbage time home run! Poor guy.

H2H can be frustrating, no doubt of that.

WhT do you see as  G Stanton's value for next year?
Brad Johnson
1:19
He should be rather cheap. I'd look at him as a $5 OFer for those who missed on big power sources.
Basically, a rich man's Adam Duvall.

How do you value lost-season young guys going into 24? Such as Ashby, Pasquantino, Lux and Oneil Cruz?
Brad Johnson
1:20
Lux is a trickiest because he's been kinda bad for a while but showed some signs of escaping purgatory before his injury.
I think we have to remember players of Cruz's size tend to be injury-prone (see Judge). Add in SS defense...
1:21
So, while I usually caution against overreacting to position player injuries, I think we have to price him as a 400 PA guy with a TON of volatility.
Ashby hasn't yet proved he's a MLBer so he should be a flier.
1:22
I think we price Vinnie P as if he'll deliver 25-30 HR and a good OBP while batting fourth. I bet he'll be a modest value on draft day.

Do you think more dynasty leagues should have outside of app regulations? I'm in one right now where we limit the number of prospects on a roster to 2 but have a whole farm system kept track of in an Excel doc where you can bring up and demote players as often as you'd like before a certain threshold of innings pitched/at bats where you have to then roster them or waive them.  This also allows you to trade draft picks each year.
Brad Johnson
1:23
As a commish who has used a similar system, I try to avoid any outside components that make more work for myself. Especially if there's potential for me to screw up and create an international incident.
I do believe in having a constitution to clearly govern how your league is intended to operate. It should be a living document updated after each season. And after major incidents.

Does Elly remain a dynasty hold?  He has become empty SBs if there is such a thing
Brad Johnson
1:24
Oh for sure. Still a top 25 pick for me in redraft, though I'll happily take him later if that's where the consensus falls.

Tarik Skubal keeper value..have the opportunity to keep at a 21st round value (22 round draft) for the next three years.  Are the gains we saw this year the real deal?
Zac

Tarik skubal a top 100 player next year if health is there?
