Hey folks, we'll get started once questions start rolling in
Mitch Keller
1:03
OK to drop him now?
Brad Johnson
1:03
Yes, in most formats. I can't imagine we'll want to use him before ROS.
It took him thriving for 2 months last year before I bought in the first place. We don't have enough time for him to "prove" he's back again.

Start Keller this week? Vs. ATL and @CIN are his match ups this week
Brad Johnson
1:04
That's a no for me. I actually put Jacob deGrom into a lineup over him in one deep format.
(draft and hold so I'm stuck with whatever I drafted)

What do you think of Davis Schneider?
Brad Johnson
1:05
Ah, nice opportunity for a product plug here. Front Office subscribers got a nice blurb about Schneider about an hour ago. Short story is he's kind of fringy mostly due to defensive limitations. The bat looks like it should play in the 100 wRC+ range with some up/downside.

Buying Lance Lynn stretch run in LA?
Brad Johnson
1:06
I've been buying Lynn (unsuccessfully) all year. Still buying. Still not getting him.

Do you think Jordan Lawler will be called up soon to help the Diamondbacks make a push?
Brad Johnson
1:06
I don't, no.
1:07
I won't rule it out though, that's just how I'd handle it.
I don't think he's an upgrade on the Perdomo/Ahmed platoon right now

What's up Brad, just got offered Acuna and Darvish for Witt, JRam and Albies, it's redraft points league, would u do it?
Brad Johnson
1:09
That depends on your opportunity costs. While Acuna is the best player in the trade, those other guys you're giving up are basically 1st rounders too. It's too much in my book unless you're replacing Witt with Gunnar and Albies with Altuve. Something like that.
That's why the opp cost matters. If you're replacing with fringy folk, it's an easy pass.
Connor Phillips
1:09
Will he get promoted to help make a playoff push?
Brad Johnson
1:11
This has a chance of happening, especially if they're looking to him for a bullpen upgrade. His command is pretty shaky, and the Reds do have some good pitchers on the way back (Lodolo/Greene)
I don't see him as particularly fantasy relevant except as a miracle play for Ks

Time to give up on jazz chisolm? Who would you pick up to replace him? Roto league
Brad Johnson
1:12
No. The injuries are frustrating, but this one is probably only between 3 days and 4 weeks in duration. Pop him back on your IL if they make the move.

Howdy, Brad. Why is Willy Adames only slightly better than a dead man offensively? Is there something in his peripherals that I am missing? He's barely above .200.
Brad Johnson
1:13
I had the opportunity to trade Carlos Correa for Adames last week in a dynasty league. I passed because I couldn't figure out why Adames was struggling.
1:14
He had sight issues at Tropicana before the trade to Milwaukee. It could be his vision deteriorating. A nagging injury maybe? Some other skills-based decline. There's isn't one glaring issue like with Trea Turner (swinging out of the zone).

My season didn't go well and I have traded for a lot of potential and higher draft picks for next year.. Dynasty league with 5 keepers (3 year max at drafted position, round 21 for rookie pickups/waivers)..need a 5th keeper all round 21 value: Bibee, Ober, Skubal, Bryce Miller, CES, Westburg, Cowser, Julien, Steer....all would be first year keeps.  Who are you keeping?
Brad Johnson
1:15
My advice is to not worry too much about which one is your last keeper today.
1:16
I lean Skubal, assuming he ends the season healthy. Also depends on what else you're keeping.
In general, it's best to make your keeper choices at the deadline.
For now, do your best to trade 2 or 3 for one even better keeper.
1:17
Some of those guys have present value so you hawk them to the contenders. The others go to the noncontenders.

With regards to my Acuna trade above, I would still have Candelario, Gunner, Seager, and Story on the left side of my infield. I might do this trade bc my OF's are just ok and I need pitching, would those circumstances make you pull the trigger?
Brad Johnson
1:17
That does make it a little more tempting, but it's not quite there for me.
Swap Albies out for Story or swap Darvish out for a better SP. Then I'd feel better.

Going into next season, is Trea Turner still drafted in the first 3 rounds, or are his struggles this year going to drop him further than that?
Brad Johnson
1:19
I think he'll still be in the top 3 rounds. Even if he's permanently a low OBP guy, the power/speed combo should remain attractive.
I think he'll rebound fwiw, everything can be pinned on swinging too much out of the zone.

What would his role be when he comes off the DL
