We'll get started in a few moments.

I gambled on Degrom, what are the chances that pays off?
Brad Johnson
1:03
If there's anyone to gamble on, it's deGrom. Thing is, since he was discounted, he only needs to throw about 125 IP to pay off.
1:04
If we get more, he could be a league winner like Judge last season.

ETA on James Wood & Jordan Lawlar? Think they make the bigs in ‘24???
Brad Johnson
1:04
Wood isn't particularly close at current reckoning
I won't say no chance, but basically no chance. Probably not 2024 either.
1:05
Lawlar could make the jump. I think they'll handle him similarly to Carroll where he'll only be promoted if he really forces their hand.

Are either of schuster or Dodd worth rostering and who has more upside?
Brad Johnson
1:05
Depends on your league depth. I think they're streamers for 12-team mixed.
1:06
Soft-tossing southpaws with plus changeups. They're practically clones.

Would it be crazy to trade Jordan Walker right now? If so what kind of return could you expect to get in a H2H points?
Brad Johnson
1:07
Not at all, especially in non-keeper situations. Aim high. Like Walker and a good mid-tier guy for an early rounder.
Walker and George Springer for Yordan, for example.

in a few huge dynasty leagues with holds and saves and k/9, any big arms I should know now that everyone will know by years end?
Brad Johnson
1:08
Carlos Vargas is the big one on my radar. Command could be a bugaboo for him.
I like Huascar Brazoban as a sneaky stash in the Miami pen.
There are a few others who aren't coming to mind.

In our draft last night I picked up Turang and Outman.  What do you see for them this year and was is the long term chances they produce in '24?
Brad Johnson
1:09
Turang should be solid. He's sort of a second div start type. A richer team would treat him like a Chris Taylor type. Not a lot of power, could hit for a plus AVG. Should steal some bags.
1:10
Outman is a volatility play. I think he's taking strides, but real games will be more informative as to if that's happening. He has serious HR upside and can run a bit. Might wind up kind of like Hunter Renfroe where we get some big years and some empty seasons.

Best dynasty keeper in H2H category league - James Outman or Michael Massey?
Brad Johnson
1:11
I prefer Outman. I don't really see Massey as a fantasy asset.

Is Tovar in Colorado rosterable in a 12 team redraft league?
Brad Johnson
1:12
As a speculative bench stash
I'm pretty confident he's going to struggle against MLB pitching, but that might take weeks for scouting reports to zero in on his weaknesses.
1:13
In the meantime, you might get nice production or even a sellable asset. At worst, a bad hitter at Coors Field is usually playable. See Hampson, Garrett home/road splits.
final rosters
1:13
Do teams have to announce their final rosters before a certain time, or could we be waiting until game day to know for sure?
Brad Johnson
1:13
I'm not aware of a specific announcement period.

I drafted Tatis in a 6x6 Roto league. Deep sleeper picks i should pick up to cover SS during his suspension?
Brad Johnson
1:16
I'm not sure where you line for "deep" is so I'll say Tovar/Stott/Urias in shallower leagues or Turang/JP Crawford in deeper formats. If it's truly DEEP , then you could try Jose Barrero, Miguel Rojas, or Edmundo Sosa.

I have Garrett Mitchell as my CF. What can I expect? Should I try to upgrade?
Brad Johnson
1:17
Probably should upgrade if you can. Expect an above average OBP and a good SB rate. He showed unexpected pop this spring, but usually doesn't contribute much power. Uncertain AVG.
Nate Shapiro

Bellinger gamble late in the draft?
Brad Johnson
1:17
Sure, why not. You have to be willing to be patient. Better to have him on the bench than starting.
Even the Cubs are saying he's not there yet.
final rosters
1:17
and also, at what point can players be officially placed on IL?
Brad Johnson
1:18
They already can be placed on the IL. Since backdating is a thing, some guys won't be announced until gameday.
Endy Rodriguez
1:18
What the ETA on Rodriguez? Will he be an impact Pirate player by late summer?
Brad Johnson
1:18
I think much earlier. It just depends how they feel about Austin Hedges not hitting at all.
