Ed Bouchette
2:03
Good afternoon, let's begin
Tad Askew
2:03
Ed, with the return of Martavious and the drafting of Juju...who do you see as the odd man out from the current WR group?
Ed Bouchette
2:04
the top four -- AB, Eli, Brown, JuJu. They probably will keep 6. Sammie and DHB? It's still open for others
Dennis N
2:04
What kind of source gave you fake news on Martavis Bryant's hip? So you still stand be your report?
Ed Bouchette
2:05
You have the wrong fellow. I said nor wrote anything about his hip. You need to go back and check YOUR source
Steve from Cal
2:05
Almost everything is set for a playoff run. Other than New England, what is the most likely shortcoming the Steelers will have trying to reach the SuperBowl?
Ed Bouchette
2:05
Injuries, which have plagued them the past 5 years.

Is it worthwhile to keep David Johnson and Roosevelt Nix on the roster when both really just block? Nix missed time last year but also plays more special teams
Ed Bouchette
2:06
They love Nix
Rick
2:06
Hey Ed,said same thing to Ray.. I'm tired of talk about needing a T.E. I like Jessie James,I think he's a very dependable on third downs and a underrated blocker.More talk about what we have rather then what we don't
Ed Bouchette
2:07
They really did not have Green last year so they have the same, plus a year's experience, plus JuJu
Mats
2:07
The Browns have so many draft picks that most likely will not make the team, do you think the Steelers will give an extra look to the Browns outcasts
Ed Bouchette
2:07
They gave the same looks to players waived, no matter what team they come from.
Thomas
2:07
Not that it was in question, but now that Revis is cleared by the NFL, any chance the Steelers kick his tires? Or are they pretty much set at CB since they drafted two, have their starters back from 2016 and Golson back for another try?
Ed Bouchette
2:08
They could have kicked his tires a long time ago, but opted to get some newer vehicles

I'm interested to know your take on Phazam Odom. He is an interesting player but an unknown playing at a lower level in college. Please keep tabs on him for us as he could be a hidden gem.
Ed Bouchette
2:09
I am still learning how to pronounce his first name. He is tall, though

Are any of the OTAs open to the press? Will you be able to let fans know whether different players look healthy (aka Golson, Bell, Heyward, etc) ?
Ed Bouchette
2:10
It is "open" in a sense but they place rules on what can be reported.
miki
2:10
jason worilds and cortez allen were 2 highly unusual losses, and the steelers have been trying to replace them for years. is the career of a sports journalist as tenuous?
Ed Bouchette
2:10
Mine hasn't been.
Pepe
2:11
My question is, Why were they taking the physicals? Was it to be able to participate in the OTAs, because of previous injuries, or are physicals required every so often?
Ed Bouchette
2:11
Everyone must pass a physical each year.
Chris
2:11
Will steelers get a comp pick for green.
Ed Bouchette
2:11
No, they cut him. You only get credit when a UFA signs elsewhere
steeler dan
2:12
will Tomlin have the team ready for the opener or will we see them play down to a lowly opponent?
Ed Bouchette
2:12
You mean like last season, when they opened with a nice victory in Washington?
Scott in Amsterdam
2:13
More of a technical question I'm hoping you can pass along...can we get the Steelers twitter feed on the PG Sports webpage updated? Got a lot of former players on there (Lance Moore and Kelvin Beachum to name a few) and new ones aren't being added.
Ed Bouchette
2:13
Well, if those in charge read my chats, then they will be alerted
SickNick
2:13
Hi Ed. Do you or your cohorts ever go back and score your mock drafts? Follow-up Q. If so, who is the best Mocker Drafteri
Ed Bouchette
2:14
I am not into that kind of thing.
Jack of Splat
2:14
Ben's comments beg the question - how well is Bell recovering from surgery?
Ed Bouchette
2:15
He was well enough to attend the draft in Philadelphia to represent a company. Other than that, there is no news because he's not hear to talk about it and the Steelers won't.
Scott in Amsterdam
2:16
Do you consider injury recovery time as one of the main reasons why Deangelo Williams was not re-signed? I still think there is benefit to keeping a proven veteran like him as a backup RB...
Ed Bouchette
2:16
They'd be better off bringing back Franco Harris.
They have their backup running back. His name is James Conner.
Buckeye Chuck
2:17
Bell not participating in OTA's?
Ed Bouchette
2:17
Well, he wasn't there today and Ben mentioned he wished he were, even if he cannot practice because of the hip surgery
2:18
Sorry, groin surgery
dave
2:18
You mentioned that someone told you last year that the Steelers didn't do enough research into Green's concussion issues. Was that person in the Steelers organization or outside?
