Good afternoon from snowy Pittsburgh, let's begin
Moose

We have a glaring weakness now with Shazier being hurt.  What can we do on Def to help make up for Shazier being out?  I think Brady will pick us apart over the shallow middle and outside edges using Gronk and their speedy pass catching backs unless we do something different.
Ed Bouchette
2:01
They did something different vs. Baltimore. They used Spence, Moats and Fort there. Unfortunately, there is no magic elixir for losing a player like Shazier
Moose
2:01
Any chance Shazier is good enough to make an appearance in person for the Pats game?  I would have to think that would be an emotional lift for the team.  The crowd would also go crazy.
Ed Bouchette
2:01
You may not be paying close enough attention. I don't think Ryan Shazier is anywhere near ready to make any public appearances
Moose
2:02
Bell's knee injury looked like it could have potentially been a disaster.  He came back in, but how is the knee doing now?
Ed Bouchette
2:02
Mike Tomlin made no mention of his knee in today's injury update. As you said, he came back and played.

Which CB’s do you see covering the outside WR’s this week?
Ed Bouchette
2:03
The same as always. I don't expect Joe Haden to be ready yet
Moose
2:03
If you were Tomlin, how would you handle the team leading up to this week's game?  Business as usual, keep it loose, or really hit home how big this game is and do extra preparation, i.e. film study and game planning?
Ed Bouchette
2:03
He started off the week with us by embracing the biggest game in the NFL this year
ALB
2:03
Ed, the pass interference calls in recent NFL games have been ridiculous. Why not throw deep passes down the sideline on every play? You would probably get a PI penalty at least a third of the time.
Ed Bouchette
2:04
I'm with you on that, terrible.

Hi Ed - 13 games into the season - I don't think Martavis Bryant's continued poor performance can be attributed to rust. Any thoughts on how he could look so good in 2014/2015 and so bad this year in comparison?
Ed Bouchette
2:04
I really do not. For a guy who should be even more motivated as he approaches his contract year, you'd think he would not be stepping out of bounds before the first down stick.

Not only did they almost blow the game with 2 pass plays that stopped the clock, but they had an empty backfield again, making the plays so predictable... can you explain their reasoning?
Ed Bouchette
2:06
We were all dumbfounded by those two calls on second and third downs. They already were in field goal range. two runs up the middle -- or even two quarterback sneaks -- would have done the trick and left the Ravens with no time to attempt a comeback
Dave
2:06
Do you think they should replace Bryant returning kicks. He is not comfortable doing this and seems afraid to get hit. Allowing the ball to hit the ground 2 times and fumbling one time is not how a kickoff return specialist should handle the ball.
Ed Bouchette
2:06
I think they could put NO ONE back there and be better off than what we saw Sunday night. I think JuJu will return

Why hasn't anyone called out Tomlin for his mishandling of the clock before we kicked the game winning field goal? It was almost as bad as the SB when Atlanta blew it. With Tucker's leg and how bad the defense was playing it could have been ugly. The fact we won shouldn't let him off the hook. Just plain dumb when you have Bell, even if you only gained 4 yards on 2 carries, would have been zero time for Balt.
Ed Bouchette
2:07
See my answer above. He would have been called out had the Ravens come back and won it.

Do you think they will now use Harrison more because the other linebackers couldn't get the job done .Harrison and Watt together is the way to go.
Ed Bouchette
2:08
No, I don't think they will. But you never know.

Another week of practice for our middle linebackers will help or be irrelevant ?
Ed Bouchette
2:09
It can only help since Spence had not played in 2 months and Moats had not played ILB in several years
Kevin in Punxsy
2:09
After watching the Pats/Dolphins game, I would drop the OLBs and one ILB and rush Williams on 70% of the time to get in Brady's head. Your thoughts?
Ed Bouchette
2:10
I'm going to leave that strategy up to Keith Butler. Inside rush is the way to go against Brady. Maybe Tuitt and Heyward can get one

What's the news on Dirty Red?  Any chance to play this week?
Ed Bouchette
2:11
Mike Tomlin said he forgot to find out before the press conference today. That surprises me
Chris
2:11
Will this be bryant last year in the burgh my opinion  is he is done
Ed Bouchette
2:11
He has one year left on his contract. They would really have to find a few more good receivers in order to push him off the roster -- unless, of course, they trade him.
SB or Bust

Any chance Sutton starts at CB over Sensenbaugh?
Ed Bouchette
2:12
Cody has a shoulder injury, so that might have to happen anyway.
carlos
2:12
hellow, good afternon; joe haden play vs patriots?
Ed Bouchette
2:12
I really think that would be pushing it, but Tomlin said today he has a chance and will start practicing

Hi Ed, who should be more worried, the Pats fans thinking about our killing B´s or us vs Brady & Company.?
Ed Bouchette
2:13
Brady and his support troops have had much more success vs. Steelers than the other way around, so that should answer your question
Adam
2:13
How do we cover Gronk?
Ed Bouchette
2:13
How do you stop a moving train?
If I Were A Carpenter
2:14
As good as Shazier is and his loss is obvious, he was missing tackles a lot too... it's not like the not being able to stop the run and deep passes issue wasn't already a problem before his injury. Can Butler change to install a change at this point?
