Good afternoon, let's begin
Mike
2:31
Trade deadline is approaching. We need a CB opposite of Haden. We are in win now mode. I don't want to here it's not the Steeler Way. We will never beat a team like KC or Pat's in a playoff game with Burns, Sutton or Sensebaugh
Ed Bouchette
2:31
I suppose there is a question there somewhere. They've won Super Bowls with less.

I know it moot at this point but when there was discussion about trading a #1 for P2 a lot of people were saying no because you're giving up 5 years control for two years with P2. Two arguments to that came to mind: 1; our first round picks are high and who we want is never there and 2, isn't two years of control for a P2 better than 5 for a Burns caliber player? Your thoughts.
Ed Bouchette
2:33
You are assuming they would draft a Burns caliber player and not a Ryan Shazier caliber or T.J. Watt caliber or Maurkice Pouncey caliber. I could go on but teams also use their relatively cheap draft picks instead of high-priced vets to keep their salary cap in line so they can pay other players.

Has there been any discussions of giving Hilton a chance outside?
Ed Bouchette
2:34
I asked MIke about that Monday. He said he is confident he could play there. He also noted he has not played outside since college. He does so well in the slot, I don't know that you want to try to change 2 positions when one is working well.

2:34
First off,Prayers to pittsburgh! Do you see any moves today?
Ed Bouchette
2:35
I haven't seen any yet and I don't expect any.  But then someone did win the Mega Millions jackpot who probably didn't expect to either

Do you think the Steelers will have a letdown after the emotional game this week or can stay focused against the Ravens?
Ed Bouchette
2:36
There's always a chance for a letdown at any point in a season based on all kinds of emotions. I don't expect that to happen against a team like the Ravens, although the Steelers looked flat the last time they played them.
Cameron
2:36
Do you think the Steelers should trade for CB Janoris Jenkins to play with Haden
Ed Bouchette
2:36
No, I don't.
SeanAY
2:36
Let's put Le'Veon Bell and Patrick Peterson aside... do the Steelers think they need to add a slot WR for this year, or are they satisfied that Rogers and/or Washington will fill that spot?
Ed Bouchette
2:37
Now that's more like it. They probably could use another WR more than they could use another CB.

2:37
If the Steelers pull the franchise tag on Bell at this point, do they still get the compensatory 3rd round pick in the distant future?
Ed Bouchette
2:37
No, they would not. I don't expect that to happen, though.

Hi Ed,  Washington seemed like an aggressive pass catching WR who was a shoe-in at the #3....what's holding him back?
Ed Bouchette
2:38
He just has not come on as virtually everyone expected. He did it in the spring and in the preseason but we haven't seen that from him yet, even though he was getting plenty of snaps  in the regular season.

Ed:  Do you think that Bell believes that the Steelers don't want him and thus is staying out past the deadline with the belief that the Steelers will now revoke the tag?  This would give him the freedom now that he so desperately craves.
Ed Bouchette
2:40
It's an interesting concept, but I believe the Steelers will hold onto him, welcome him back and give him the ball now and then when he's back in playing shape. He has 2 more weeks to report or he cannot play at all anywhere this year.

2:40
Is it true, Artie was late cause he was still chasing Tyler Boyd?
Ed Bouchette
2:41
Da-dum. He's here all week, ladies and gents.

2:41
Hi Ed!  If any Steelers coaches are on the Browns' radar, what opportunity to the Browns have to reach out (i.e. distract) Steelers' coaches during the season?
Ed Bouchette
2:41
None. They'd have to wait until after the season.
2:42
If they did otherwise, there would be some serious tampering punishment meted out
mike
2:42
Is Le'Veon going to be traded?
Ed Bouchette
2:42
Since he has only 75 minutes to sign his franchise tag in order for that to happen, i would say no.
OKC Dave
2:42
All of Steeler Nation, including us in OKC are praying for Pittsburgh. Pass it on.
Ed Bouchette
2:43
The people of Pittsburgh, I'm sure, appreciate that.

2:43
Munch mentioned as Browns candidate. I would rather lose the two coordinators before him. Didn't go well in Nashville for him. Would he take another HC gig?
Ed Bouchette
2:44
I would think so. I don't know too many assistant coaches who would not, unless the situation is a terrible one.
Wisconsin Winters
2:44
Hue Jackson for Steeler OC?
Ed Bouchette
2:45
Then he could often remind everyone that he is the Steelers OC?
AWWW LUKAL
2:46
What's the #1 thing needed in your mind to get the Steelers to the playoffs and eventual Superbowl this season?
Ed Bouchette
2:46
Just win, baby. Really, they have the talent.
The4ngryG4mer
2:48
I've long held the private belief that Bell is way overrated and that the true hero of our running game is M. Munchak and his offensive line.  To your knowledge, do the stats support this?
Ed Bouchette
2:48
Well, now that your private belief is public, I would say the only stats you need to know is to look at how James Conner is doing this year.
Harley S.
2:49
Any rumors regarding Bell in town to sign after the deadline passes?
Ed Bouchette
2:49
I thought I saw someone who looked like him jet-skiing down the Mon.
