Good afternoon, let's begin

‪This morning on Undisputed, James Harrison stayed that Tomlin calls the defense, and that Keith Butler was a great coach and the D would improve if he ran it. Can you confirm that Tomlin is the playcaller?‬
Ed Bouchette
3:05
Others have said he does. Mike has denied it.

FYI There is a chat for Gerry that  is showing under active chats even though it is dated 01.09.18

Gerry loves a good chat

Ed, what do you think return will be for AB?
Ed Bouchette
3:06
I think they should and would get a first-rounder
ABs agent
3:06
Is it still possible to trade Bell and get more picks by tagging him or something? Thanks Ed
Ed Bouchette
3:07
I think that is too convoluted. He did not sign his tag this year.

Are players not REQUIRED to respond to phone calls from the coaches or management, even after the season ends?
Ed Bouchette
3:07
I don't think they are required after the season, but he did not respond before it ended

Hi Ed do you think this is the year the Steelers bring in a big name free agent
Ed Bouchette
3:08
They may be sick of the big names (AB, Bell) and just want someone who can get the job done.
Ike Steelheart
3:08
Could Larry Fitzgerald be a productive player in this Steelers offense?
Ed Bouchette
3:08
He'll be 36

49ers #2 overall in the 2019 draft for AB? Do you think that could be possible?
Ed Bouchette
3:09
I don't think SF would do that. Too high.

Ed, how does this secondary compare to the 1986 one prior to the infusion of Belton Delton Hall, Rod Woodson and Thomas Everett (in 87)
Ed Bouchette
3:09
That may have been their worst secondary ever.

Conner and Samuels almost had the exact total yardage as Bell in ‘17.  Could JuJu et al compensate for Brown’s production?
Ed Bouchette
3:10
They need another top-flight WR to replace Brown, either draft or FA.

With losing Bell, Munch and now maybe AB, what are your thoughts on the future of this team? Is the sky really falling?
Ed Bouchette
3:11
Maybe it's time to find players who actually want to play for them.

Ed - What do you think is the likelihood of another NFL team giving up a 1st rounder for a slightly over the hill, self absorbed, prima donna WR ?
Ed Bouchette
3:12
I think you can get Dez Bryant for much less
Ryno
3:12
IF Brown somehow manages to remain a Steeler, could an absolute zero BS policy work?  Or is the genie out of the bottle?
Ed Bouchette
3:13
I'm not sure he could adhere to that.
Ryno
3:13
How are you feeling about the coaching changes that have been made so far?
Ed Bouchette
3:14
I like the addition of Teryl Austin. Munchak leaving won't help them but Shaun Sarrett served 5 years with him and he may do well. Waiting on them to hire others

A lot of the pre-draft talk last year focused on Vander Esch.  He turned out to be great for Cowboys and in retrospect certainly worth trading up for.  Should they trade up this year to assure not missing out on someone to be playmaker on D?
Ed Bouchette
3:16
Trading up does not guarantee anything. You have to see how the draft goes. Maybe they'll get another T.J. Watt staying where they are, or maybe they need to move up to get another Polamalu.

I know hind sight is 20-20 but do you think that the Steelers could have won one or two more games to get into the playoffs if they had signed Eric Weddle and picked Darius Leonard as their first draft pick?
Ed Bouchette
3:16
Maybe they could have won two or three more.
Ryno
3:16
If it was your call, what position is of greatest need in the draft?  My vote is ILB, with CB second, and a replacement for Bud Dupree in third place.
Ed Bouchette
3:17
I agree, in any order

Why no heat on Colbert for some of his flubs in talent evaluation the past few years? He seems to be getting a pass in off season critiques!
Ed Bouchette
3:20
Every draft picker has his flubs. I think Kevin has done well for picking so later in the rounds so consistently. It's not just him either. MT has plenty of say. Did you like JuJu? Watt? Conner? Hargrave? You have to count them too, not just Burns and Dupree

Why is the Steelers Offensive line called the best when they seem to have trouble with the running game?
Ed Bouchette
3:21
The only trouble they have with the run game is the decision not to run it much
David
3:21
I guess DB coach Bradley hire was Rooney's and not Tomlin's. Do you agree?
