Happy Monday, everyone. Not my usual gig here, but Brent is out of pocket today and we didn't want to leave his loyal audience hanging. He's pretty prolific in what he can cover in this hour, I'll see what I can do... let's get after it!

Hi Ray- thanks for the chat! In a H2H points league where wins are more valuable, would you add Roupp for any of: G. Holmes, E. Cabrera, Baz, K. Harrison, E, Sheehan, or Bibee?  Thanks!
Ray Murphy
12:03
Roupp's been good... more GB + more K (though not backed by SwK) is a good combo. I'd probably take him over Holmes (still think his elbow is a ticking time bomb) and Harrison. I'd hold the rest of the group.

Hi Ray, thanks for taking my question. NFBC 15-team 5x5.
Looking for some power options while waiting for Witt, Kurtz, Suarez, J. Duran to get off the schneid (do people still say that?). Available WW options include Vientos, J. Young, and T. O’Neill (IL). How would you rank these 3 ROS and would any be worth an FAAB to replace L. Acuna, Andujar, Isbel, or Sanoja? Thanx again.
Ray Murphy
12:05
If you want power, the choice is Vientos. Young doesn't have any, and O'Neill can't give you any from the IL. I'd probably drop Sanoja (plays a lot, but it's pretty empty) or Andujar (similar, wish there was more to that statline) for Vientos.

Fact or fluke anthony Kay, Jacob Junis,Jose Caballero India, and  Dominguez, Thank you Ray!
Ray Murphy
12:08
Kay - Fluke
Junis - Fact-ish (I don't think it lasts, but ride him while he has the opportunity)
Caballero - Fluke, he won't hit .146. BA goes up, SB will follow.
India - fluke, but I'm worried he loses PT.
Seranthony - fact: this is what you'll get... Saves and a roller coaster.

Deep 4x4 AL only dynasty league, last week picked up V Grissom, L McCullers and Dustin Harris….thoughts on those 3?
Ray Murphy
12:10
McCullers - one start is propping him up, the SwK in that outing looks like a fluke. And we know he'll break down sooner or later.

Grissom - I'm interested, let's see if LAA gives him an opportunity.

Harris - callup report was pretty bleak

Brent! Let’s talk Jordan Walker. Is this start real? If you were to “cash in” on his hot start, what would that look like? I’m in a dynasty league and leaning towards holding tight …
Ray Murphy
12:13
I think we had this question last week, and then he went out and hit 5 HR over last 7 days. The 41% HR/F isn't real, of course, but there's a lot of good happening here... more FB, a few less K. He's still just 23... you have the right to ask for a very nice package in dynasty formats.

Hi Brent, Thanks for considering this question. It's more affirmation than anything.

16 team H2H Points league. Injuries have forced me to juggle the roster and dip into my reserves. The positions in question, with players listed in order of priority, are:

2B: Mcneil, Baty, Stott
CI: Baty, Shaw, Manzardo
UT: Beavers, Shaw, Manzardo

It's not an inspiring group, but one makes do as best as one can.

Thoughts? And Thanks.
Ray Murphy
12:16
Sorry, I don't think I understand the question. My favorite guys on this list are probably Stott and McNeil. We'll learn a lot this week about how much Shaw is going to play now that the Cubs are healthy (and Ballesteros is starting to hit). I was high on Manzardo entering the year, but he has looked rough (though maybe shook it off a bit this weekend.)

Thanks for pinch hitting for Brent today.   4x4 standard Roto, rank for the ROS:   Gelof, O. Peraza, V. Grissom, S. Antonacci, C. Moore.
Ray Murphy
12:17
This all comes down to who's going to play. Let's see if the ChiSox commit to Antonacci. And as mentioned above, I'm waiting to see what kind of shot Grissom gets in LAA. Gelof, Peraza, and Moore are all some level of buried, I think.

4x4, AL-Only Keeper.   When the roster crunch eventually requires it, who would you drop from:  C. Thomas, G. Valera, C. Cortes, C. Moore, O. Perazza?   Limited moves allowed in this league due to restrictive FAAB policies, so we need to think a little more than week-to-week.
Ray Murphy
12:18
I'd dump Peraza, he's just filler even in Anaheim.

Keep the faith with Kyle Manzardo? Alternative is Brooks Lee.
Ray Murphy
12:20
If that's the alternative, yes, keep Manzardo. He hasn't looked good, but CLE has run into a lot of LHP lately, and they've played a good number of cold-weather games. I still think he'll heat up.

hi Brent- NL Only 5 by 5.  Please rank Sugano, Hauser, Rea, Hollander, Assad and Buehler.
Ray Murphy
12:21
I don't mind Rea or Assad. Stay clear of Coors. I'm not a Buehler believer either.

12:22
It looks like there will be a lot of graduations from the top 100 prospect list. Who is the new number one \
Ray Murphy
12:22
I'm the wrong guy to ask about prospects. Save this one for Brent next week. But I think the short answer is that there's a reason we wait til mid-season to put out an updated top-50, rather than constantly shuffling. Let the kids breathe. Their season is just starting.

Hi Ray! NL 10 team 5x5- Sasaki? He was only a $4 dart throw at the auction but do I want to keep running him out there? Do the Dodgers? There are no starting FAs of note (except for Rockies pitchers) but there are always good ERA,K guys. Should I hold Sasaki or send him packing? (I know it's early but...)
Ray Murphy
12:23
I wouldn't touch Sasaki, and I especitally wouldn't touch him in 4x4... you get all of the WHIP damage and none of the K benefit. Send him paccking.

Is Josh Bell’s start something to believe in?
Ray Murphy
12:24
I might have said this in Friday's chat, apologies. Last year he started awful and leveled off to his usual self. This year he's started great... and I fully expect him to level off to his usual self.

AL only, standard rotis with keepers. W+QS as one category. Just picked up Joey Cantillo to replace Hunter Brown. Big downgrade I know, but slim pickings. What do you think of his short term chances? I also have Noah Schultz who is being called up. Rookie pitchers are tough to forecast, how do you like his chances? Thanks, as always.
Ray Murphy
12:25
Today's callup report on Schultz is pretty glowing. Wrobleski doesn't have much going for him besides the team context (which isn't something to dismiss). I'd probably take the shot at Schultz.
Porcho Villa
12:26
Varsho is looking great after a slow start. While plate discipline and CT% are much improved over the small YTD sample, quality of contact (especially EV) is surprisingly poor. Is his UP: 35 HR in play, and is he a good hold for 12-team 5x5 OBP?
Ray Murphy
12:26
Wouldn't over-read the start for a stable vet like him. OBP format helps him for sure. Hold.
Porcho Villa
12:27
Daily league, 5x5 OBP. Could use a backup 3B behind Keith who still seems stuck in a platoon thought he probably shouldn’t be. Who do you like best: Hamilton, J. Polanco, Vientos, Schmitt, House, Mayer?
Ray Murphy
12:27
Good options... Vientos/Polanco top of list for me. House is fine too. I like Mayer long-term but still waiting for the light to flick 'on' there.
Hoopster
12:27
NL 10 team only league OBP instead of BA; drop Norby for Kebryan Hayes?
Ray Murphy
12:27
I'd hold Norby.

I am in need of some BA and SB assistance in a H2H cats league - how legit is this Angel Martinez start?
Ray Murphy
12:30
I scooped him up a couple of places last week and this week. He's not likely THIS good, but there's a ton of contact and LD/FB there, and he can run. Might be a good fit for you, given stated needs.

12:31
Any chance Bubba Chandler gets sent back to AAA to work on his command?
Ray Murphy
12:31
Sure, could happen. But combo of ball% and SwK% looked a lot better yesterday, so maybe he's already fixed something. Stay tuned...

Hi Ray.  H2H 10 team points league.  I need to sit out Logan Webb or Dylan Cease this week.  Leaning hard toward Cease on the bench due to matchup.  Any thoughts?  Thank you!
