Happy Friday everyone! Two weeks in, lots to sort out. Some good questions in the queue... lets dive in!

Ray - thanks for doing these chats - my favorite part of the HQ season!
Your thoughts on 2 NL player questions: TJ Rumfield - he's off to a fine start but is he likely to hold the gig or is he a Condon place holder?
James Tibbs is tearing it up but there is no room for him in LA - do they keep him along with their other 48 great rookies or does a fellow like that make more sense in a trade? When will we see him in the bigs?
Ray Murphy
12:03
Rumfield: we rated him an unexciting 6C in our Callup Report, and two weeks isn't going to make me override that opinion.

Tibbs: I guess he could get a call if there's an OF injury. But Tibbs struggled last year (got traded a couple of times, of course), so I would think they're going to leave him alone and let him try and keep this up over an extended period.

Hey, Ray! Bubba Chandler's giving me Joe Boyle vibes. Heck, if they ever face each other, a new drinking game will be invented. Walk? Drink!

For those who drafted Bubba, is there confidence he'll settle in?
Ray Murphy
12:04
Concerning that he had these problems in the spring too, though that was fairly early in March and it seemed like he got straightened out. Two starts this year, one in PIT and one in CIN... hardly optimal weather conditions. Ball% is way too high, but I'm willing to be patient at least a little longer.

Hey Ray.  Scoresheet NL 10 team dynasty.  Starting rotation:  C. Sanchez; N. McLean; N. Pivetta; J. Luzardo; S. Baz.  In the wings: B. Chandler and A. Painter.  Any chance Chandler or Painter will dependably force their way into my starting rotation this season?  If so, who will they likely displace?  Thanks.
Ray Murphy
12:05
This seems like a problem that solves itself. Someone will get hurt. You're already covered. Good problem to have. The beauty of Scoresheet is you can just line up those two extra guys in your bullpen and they'll get plugged in when you need them.

AL only, standard rotis with keepers, W+QS as one category. Who do you trust more, Jeffrey Springs, or Ryan Weathers? Thanks as always.
Ray Murphy
12:06
I don't trust the health of either guy, but I'll take Weathers' skills when healthy, at least.
Porcho Villa
12:10
Hi Ray. Struggling to exercise excruciating patience with Burrows, even though his first couple bad starts appear luck driven and this week’s mediocrity was probably Coors driven. In a 12 team 5x5 QS league, would you drop him to add Ryne Nelson, SLADE Cecconi, or Jeff Springs?
Ray Murphy
12:10
I like Nelson best of the alternatives, but I'd hold Burrows for now. Shouldn't be THAT much of a struggle to be patient with him. He had one useful outing (W vs Boston) at least.

12:12
B Rooker down. Who gets the call? C Cortes? Z Gelof?
Ray Murphy
12:12
That sure sounds like an oblique for Rooker, which stinks. Gelof is raking in Triple-A, logical to think he'll get the call. But as to who actually plays... less clear. See what happens this weekend.
Buff
12:13
11 team NL only keeper. This year and long term, Hyeseong Kim or Alex Freeland? What’s the likelihood either becomes a regular or a 400 AB utility guy?
Ray Murphy
12:13
I'm not the prospect wonk, but seems like these guys are pretty similar... questionable hit tool with SB upside for fantasy impact.
Buff
12:14
How worried should I be about JEREMIAH
Ray Murphy
12:14
Jackson? Estrada? Both should be pretty easily replaceable, no reason to be attached to either.
Buff
12:14
Hiw worried should I be about Jeremiah Estrada? Velo down a couple of ticks, splitter not as effective, second poor outing yesterday.
Ray Murphy
12:14
Oh, thanks. I should have scrolled down. Same answer... should be plenty of interchangeable options in your FA pool. No reason to be patient with middle relievers.
Kent
12:15
Will Dubon continue with full time AB’s in Atlanta?
Ray Murphy
12:15
Consult the depth charts: https://www.baseballhq.com/teams/braves. He's mostly playing SS, but Kim is going to be back at some point. He should have some rope until then.

Just a speculation or what if question: Rebuild of Rockies, MLB doesn’t allow draft pick swaps. Example: Rockies get together hypothetically with say Cubs before Draft a few years ago. Cubs (picking way behind Rockies) say go get Dollander. Rockies pick him and then trade him to Cubs for maybe 2 graded 45 prospects. It circumvents rules, but potentially accelerates rebuild. Crazy thought?
Ray Murphy
12:17
Crazy, yes, in that the GMs involved would undoubtedly get punished. But if they changed the rules to allow this stuff, then sure... would be super fun.

Redraft 12 team roto league. Any 3B guys who are struggling who you still have faith in?
Ray Murphy
12:18
It's two weeks, I have faith in anybody who I had faith in on Opening Day.

Good day and thank you. 16 team keeper 5x5 is with obp and 8 reserve slots. Have McCarthy in reserve. My 5 starters and U much better. Considering dropping for Cooper Pratt at FAAB this Sunday for performance this year and/ or keeper value/ trade value. Yes or no? Drop Rengifo for Luis Acuna? Thank you.
Ray Murphy
12:20
Sure, McCarthy is very replaceable, take the flier on Pratt. As for Rengifo/Acuna, I think I'll still take Rengifo in OBP format. Still not sure Acuna will hit enough/at all, might even be seeing that start to happen in last few days.
Save Fisher
12:21
Still fishing for saves in 12 team AL Only.  I picked up Baker and speculated on Winn and Slaten last week..which netted me 2 saves.  Looking at Junis, Mears (KC), Orze (MIN), and Nunez/Wolfram (BAL).  Should I even bother with Junis since I have Winn?  Anybody else I should be speculating on?
Ray Murphy
12:21
I'd take a shot at Junis. I think MIN and SF are lost causes, in that they're going to be committees/you're fishing for scraps there.

12:23
A few Qs: Redraft H2H Points 12 teams - ROS Aranda or Michael Busch (was dropped).  Is Hunter Brown back before July 1st?   IL Order of value: Bieber, Bryce Miller, Schwellenbach, Grayson Rod, Musgrove.
Ray Murphy
12:23
Hard to say on Brown, Matt C in Big Hurt says there are a wide range of outcomes here.

I'd need an MD to be able to rank those pitchers. I'll take Bieber first since he's probably first back.
Jack Perkins
12:24
Do you think he gets a relevant role with the A’s?
Ray Murphy
12:24
"Relevant role" is pretty vague. It's a long season, I'm sure he'll get a look. And he's got skills, have to figure they eventually deliver value. But when/in what role? Can't say with any confidence.
soon fulltimer
12:26
hi Ray, thank you for doing these, Sanoja Johnston, and A Martinez: can they become fulltimer pretty soon? Can you order by preference? Any gap?
Ray Murphy
12:26
I don't love any of them, not sure there's a carrying skill in the group. I don't know that full time work is in the cards for any of them.
fernnd gignac
12:27
hi Ray, can you rank with gap: junk, freeland, springs, wrobleski? thank you for taking my question
Ray Murphy
12:27
Junk first... only 2 GS, but Vel and SwK are up (way up) from last year. Gap, then Springs, Wrobleski, gap, Freeland.
Paulie
12:28
You can only keep one in a 5 x 5 12 team mixed Roto league; Manzardo, Vientos, C Keith
Ray Murphy
12:28
Vientos by a nose over Keith. All kind of borderline in a 12-tmr tho.
Paulie
12:29
Is Justin Crawford going to be rosterable  in 12 teamers?
